It's kind of like when the ring leader of bunch of bullies goes too far and keeps going despite all his accomplices telling him it's not funny any more.

Nicola From Girls Aloud Defence Force founding father, Oh Teh Noes, has just released his rendition of Dance to the Beat of My Drum. If I'm honest with you all I do find it more entertaining then the original. Listen extra hard to the best part between 2:03 - 2:14.

Much better than her shite other songs though. Still terrible nonetheless.

It has some ingredients of a decent pop song but her voice or at least the production of it, is too warbly for this sort of song.
Its like shes trying hard to be Tori Amos/Amy Studt and failing.

It's very good lyrically, I don't think it suits her voice though. She's a bit too.. sweet for it.

I think it's very difficult for Nicola to go from a manufactured pop group to doing these type of indie songs because it seems like this music is not the 'real' her and more like a mercenary attempt to be a credible artist by singing a more respected style of song.

Her lyrics are far too on the nose, no clever metaphors, no similes, just her moaning about what a media victim she feels. There won't be a second album, at least not a CD release.

Cher Lloyd. Cherie Blair lookalike that she is, although her music isn't aimed at me, as least is trying to do her own thing. She has her own 'swagger' if you will.

No, she's doing exactly what she's being told to do.
