The All Formats Top 5 are all non-movers this week with ‘Mario Kart Wii’ at No1 for a second week ahead of Wii Fit - sales of both are up 12%, while Sega’s Olympic duo remain at No’s 3 and 4 with Wii Play at No5.
Half the All Formats Top 10 is made up of party/mini game titles with ‘Carnival: Funfair Games’ breaking back into the Top 10, up from No13 to No6 thanks to the launch of the DS version of Take 2’s hugely successful party game. THQ’s top-sellers both improve on last week: ‘Big Beach Sports’ up one place to No7 and ‘Wall-E’ up from No11 to No9. ‘Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training’ moves up one place to No8 and has now spent a record-breaking 80 weeks in the All Formats Top 10, beating ‘Tomb Raider’ which managed 79 weeks. No new releases make the All Formats Top 40, but 2 week-old titles from Eidos and Empire make progress in the chart: Eidos’ ‘Summer Athletics’ up from No25 to No12 and Empire’s ‘Off Road’ making its first Top 40 appearance at No28.
Please note that with the recent launch of Platinum PS3 games, we have this week included PS3 Budget and Full Price charts
