Oh right. That's a bit depressing.

No-one's suggesting you use them for your actual browsing.

No just trust them for the bit of browsing that avoids a uk law. If anything that’s worse.

As far as I'm aware, its the porn sites themselves who have the legal responsibility to verify the age of visitors, the general public aren't actually breaking the law by circumventing said verification systems.

Its the same with selling alcohol to anyone underage, the 15 year old drinking it hasn't technically broken the law but the person who sold it is likely to be prosecuted or fined.

Depends where there drink it I believe - if they are at home or on any other private premises then they are fine, otherwise it is illegal.

That's my understanding anyway!

But yes in this case I think the risk is for the website not the user.

I'm afraid it's off to prison for you if you don't like D&D.
I'm a liberal but liberalism has its limits and being someone who doesn't enjoy being forced to play D&D every day just goes against everything my new kingdom believes in. Also we need to be prepared for when the UK is invaded by militant Gary Gygax fans as I'm pretty sure it's about to happen.

That's like admitting you don't know who David Beckham is. He's the guy who invented D&D and has a global cult like following.

I wonder if the Bing workaround would overcome this? After all, you're watching the video on the Bing website, even if it is from PornHub or elsewhere. You don't ever have to touch the sites themselves, just search videos through Bing and hope you can watch without being directed to the site the video comes from.

At least you weren't (i assume) one of the gullible sods who fell for CVG Mag's april fools joke which told readers to make Lara dance to the beat of a spice girls song and she'll become nude.

My idiot teen self was.

I always found the lingerie section from old clothes catalogues to be a genuine treasure trove.

Young folk these days have it too easy.

Back in the day you often just had to use either your imagination or rely on something that you had spotted during the day and stored in your memory (or "wank bank").

There used to be some crap fashion channel on Sky that often had footage of lingerie models walking down the catwalk which were responsible for many of my teenage wanks

Probably not. I can't see porn when I'm on 3G and I don't fancy going into an O2 shop to ask them to let me. If I'm accidentally on 3G the Bing videos don't load.

Yeah, it won't work in all circumstances, but if it does work, it's got to be a way around it, right?

The next ten years of British politics is just going to be dumb ideas being delayed at the last minute, over and over.
