This is more like watching Hitler invading Poland and saying "that cheeky bloody scamp! Let's just let him have a little bit of Poland and then he'll behave and settle down to his proper place in Europe!"

What peace terms would have persuaded the far-right in Germany?

Would more favourable peace terms have prevented the rise of the Nazis even if the Great Depression had unfolded in the same way?

So apparently Putin has been given 3 years to live, at most, by doctors and is losing his eyesight.

Is that a real diagnosis that doctor's give? As far out as 3 years could be massively variable.

I’m actually surprised no one inside Russia has actually offed him yet, however he dies it'd be peacefully in his sleep anyway.

I think these kinds of figures are given based more on "previous patients with the same kind of illnesses generally lived about this long", so if he really has been diagnosed with a particular kind of blood cancer then 3 years may be the average life expectan for it. There's also indications he may have MS and Parkinsons too by the looks of things (rumours about Cancer and Parkinsons have been around for a few years too, so this may not even be a recent thing) which just complicates things even further.

It seems to be getting reported by a few places, but I can't really track down too much on original source so still take it with a pinch of salt.

Cancer survival rates are typically calculated as a percentage chance of living five years after diagnosis, as a kind of standard metric. I imagine doctors do something similar with some other illnesses.

Macron is at his 'lets not be mean to gentle old uncle Vlad' bullshit again. The guy is a strawberry floating moron. How is it not clear to these appeasers of war criminals that nothing other than total defeat will stop him trying again in the future.

I wouldn't like to be the doctor that had to tell Vlad that he has 6 months to live  I'd probably say 3 years too

The man has no shame. Still if that's what it takes to provide Ukraine with proper military support then it's better than some countries in Europe just spouting platitudes.

Has any Russian leader been assassinated since the days of the Tsars?
