The end of Spooks was grimly predictable.

Spooks loves to kill off the main characters. Would have been a bigger surprise if he survived.

I was shocked by it.

Adam has been in the show for 4 years, even though Spooks loves to kill main character I just didn't think they'd kill Adam right at the start of the new series

Great episode though, and I think Lucas will be interesting.

As soon as the actor said he was leaving it was clear he was going to be killed off. He was like the 3rd longest living cast member.

I didn't know the actor was leaving. I stay away from all spoilers.

I think he actually said it on Top Gear. At the very least it was in the Radio Times ages ago.

It was good but don't expect anything amazing, at least not yet anyway tonights ep was just the Outbreak, had some quality moments though.

I thought Spooks didn't do a good enough job of hooking me in as a new viewer a lot of it seemed to assume knowledge, the ending was pretty amazing though how the strawberry float did they do that explosion with the guy in it (computers obviously) but it looked absolutely amazing.

Spooks has always been like that though. Elements come back from last season or even several seasons ago and it's always incorporated that into the storyline. It's rarely a 24-style self contained storyline.

I've been half watching Merlin, but forgot about it this week. Is it repeated?

Edit - Actually is it on the BBC iPlayer thingy?

Do it JNR. It deserved its own thread.

Top Gear getting bunched up with utter dross like Merlin? What an insult.
