The Dark Knight is an utter shambles of a film which happens to have some bright moments - Batman Begins is the only truly decent, coherent one he made in that trilogy.

Dunkirk on the other hand seems to be generally not thought of that highly, yet I think it's a stunning work of art. Easily one of his best, up there with Memento.

I know that The Dark Knight was so deified on release that the only response when a lot of it’s major shortcomings became undeniable was to write it off as ‘a shambles’, but I never understood the little tag along baby cousin of an argument that ‘Ackthually Batman Begins is the best one’ getting any traction.

Batman Begins is a strawberry floating boring film. I literally cannot remember half the plot. I know Scarecrow is in it, and I think there’s a blue flower, and I think a train crashes. And there’s a well, or something.

I know that TDK has structural issues and I suppose it’s easy to say therefore that BB is possibly more cohesive, maybe? But it’s also strawberry floating DULL. I’d rather have TDK’s poor editing and overlong running time over a perfectly structured film about watching paint dry.

He was talking about the game adaptation but even so Rab Florence from Consolevania had it right when he said "Batman Begins, and he begins to bore me to strawberry floating tears!"

Batman Begins is indeed dreadful and I also agree that it's boring AF!

Batman Begins was definitely dull in parts, i know they had to reboot things after Batman & Robin, but still.
