Second play through: Managed to keep everyone alive.

Now I'm on my third play through in order to kill them all.

And... Done.

Really enjoyed this. Definitely the number one contender for my "surprise of the year" game, and I hope that Sony will greenlight a sequel.

A few flaws though, like unskippable cut scenes (this could be fixed by copying VLR's fast forward system for cutscenes you've seen already before.)

Just shot Ashley in the face,

I don't understand how I'm supposed to save anyone. Everyone I try to save ends up in a face to face death off with their mate. :fp:

My next run through I'm splitting all the strawberry floaters up. Clearly "sticking together" means jack gooseberry fool :x

Finished

Mike
Sam
Emily. :|
Matt
Jess

Survived. Not bad considering I lost so many so early. :fp:

But annoyed ash let Chris die, who in their right mind would let their mate/potential love, interest get his head torn off. Bitch.

Do the decisions seriously affect the outcome? And is it possible to save everyone? Loved it. Amazing graphics, atmosphere, sound effects. Brilliant. Not to long either. Hoping for some sort of sequel if this does well enough.

strawberry floating love this game. Really made me jump a fair few times. Genuinely feels like a interactive slasher movie. Hated all similar games like heavy rain and that other know who's name escapes me. Pure B movie entertainment joy. Completely caught me by surprise how much I have enjoyed playing this.

Have to agree. It's one of this year's sleeper hits. Veeeery popular on YT, too. It's just a good game to watch someone else playing as well as experiencing it for yourself.

I also found the QTEs to not be too intrusive or over reliant on them. Think we are about 2 hours till dawn now so right near the end. Easily the most enjoyable experience I have had with a new game this year so far.

Well... You did decide to make Chris shoot Ashley. I don't blame Ashley, seeing that she have a massive crush on him, and Chris saying he loved every minute being with her. Then only to see Chris turn the gun on her.

Yes, it is possible to save everyone. And yes, your decisions do affect it. Some plain obvious, some aren't.

Your decisions does affect something. On my original playthrough, Jessica was full clothed and on the second playthrough she only have her pants and bra on.

One warning though: to save Josh, you will need to collect EVERY single "Twins" collectible, as it would help Josh realise who the "monster" is.

I have finished the game three times, my original play through, second one was "save everyone" play through and finally the "kill everyone" playthrough, and I've never seen every single scenario that the game throws at you.

I can hope that Sony will greenlight a sequel but with a completely new set of characters and plot.

Nah. It's nowhere same as Cabin in the Woods apart from the fact the game is set in the woods, plot wise.

All done. Brilliant. Full game spoilers:

That last chapter was a real bloodbath. Sam, Chris, Em and Matt survived. I thought that Mike had run for it while I was hiding in the final scene, but he didn't.

It felt a little cheap in general at the end, to be honest. It's basically just guesswork and instant death if you're wrong. Ashley, I probably deserved in chapter 9. I was going against everything I'd done to that point by sending her alone to investigate and open the trapdoor, which clearly wasn't Jessica anyway.

Jessica's death was swift and brutal. But Josh's was the one that got to me most. He didn't deserve to die, dammit. Just because I missed some record.

I'm just a little miffed at having kept everyone safe for 85% of the game, avoiding plenty of opportunities for death, and losing half the cast at the final hurdle.

That I cared about these virtual sexy teens so much really surprised me. I never expected this formula to work.

I very almost did that too. I pressed the button to open it and then straight away cancelled and backed out.

Still think Josh's death scene at the end is the most shocking one.

Also Matt seems to be underused in this game.

Also did anyone think Gollum! when you first saw the Hannah monster.

I have youtubed the rest of the death scenes as I can't be arsed to do a fourth play through so soon. I have missed a lot.
