Same... I bought it last night from Shopto for about £15. But given that I also have a few other games to play in the meantime, I think that the game might end up sitting on the backburner.

Yeah I've got too many games also but only got like two PS4 games so I will batter through it to get use of me new console. Plus girlfriend loves horror movies/games so can stealth play it with her :slol:

I've got a feeling that my copy is going to remain shrink wrapped for a very looooooong time.

On chapter 7 now and whilst I'm pretty drawn into I am finding the overuse of the scare jumps a little bit grating. Weird how I have only opened on trophy as well which seemed to open quite along time after the event it was awarded for.

Got this for Christmas and played through an hour or so so far. Really like it already, I was worried that all the characters was going to be a bit overwhelming and they would all turn into human shaped personality vacuums as I made the same choices I would make for all of them. They seem to have very quickly set up some strong personality traits though so I'm already thinking in a 'how would x person act in this situation'.

Walking around is a bit clunky and the dialogue is way too quiet but they're not big issues so far.

Same boat as you so far, only about an hour in. Really enjoying it, finding the characters less annoying than thought I would.

Game looks stunning in places, mountains are gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out, intentionally causing friction already 8-)

This is my GOTY this year, every PS4 owner should be giving this game a go especially now its dropped in price. Well worth the £18.49 I paid for it

It's a bit odd, there's something about the movement or the way the game presents itself that feels off. Makes me feel a bit queasy actually, at least I think it's the game. I don't really get the point of the totems to be honest, they don't educate you to make a decision one way or another but rather just show you a little clip of something. I guess they unlock that past story thing too.

Anyway here's some of what's happened to me so far...

Was trying to keep everyone alive and cop off with one another, wanted Mike and Jessica to get it on but I think my spooking her caused her to drop the phone which seemed to lead to her being dragged away. I chased after her taking all the shortcuts like a true action hero but it didn't seem to make a difference because when I found her she dropped down an elevator shaft to what I presume was her death.

Chris and Ashley I was also trying to get together but after things went south after the seance there didn't seem an opportunity and when Ashley got kidnapped and tied up with Josh I didn't want to make a choice but initially picked Josh because it forced me, then after that I refused and it just picked Ashley leading to Josh's grizzly death :dread:

Stick with it. I quite like that there are no saves. I also found out afterwards that some decisions make no real difference, but others do (hence the butterfly effect symbol).

I also found once you'd seen a few totems they them start to mean a few things, and you know what you need to do going forward.

Fun game, gets a bit tedious towards the end.

I don't like jump scares but I can tolerate them in the right scenario so the amount there are in this game I don't find to bad. However that cheap strawberry floating gooseberry fool it pulled with the exorcist face popping up in Chris and Ashley's plot linewas pathetic and unnecessary.

I think they reduce a little as you get towards the end of the game, as some of the intrigue gets solved.

Emily is a bitch, her, and a few others really annoyed me.

Was trying to find the "eurgh, unfollow" gif but I can't, so have this instead.

She's the worst person ever at the start but she gets much better as it goes on

Although after that bit I really wanted her to die

It's a darn site creepier and darker than I anticipated. I thought it was going to just be some teen slasher thing but some of the stuff as it progresses :dread:

I predicted the maniac from the start and even after he died thought it was still him so they didn't do a great job concealing it, but I can't help but think there must be an accomplice.

I assumed I'd had a couple of people killed already but they keep cropping up alive so goodness knows what you have to do.

I've held off buying this but for £15 on Shopto I can't refuse that price.

I won't spoil who can die when, but there are some useful guides. Great to look at in hindsight. Some of them are very obscure too.

Regarding annoying Emily and my end of game review:
emily got all grumpy at the end of the game at Matt for leaving her, even though he was hanging from a spike through his face

Good strawberry floating gravy that was awesome.

The end...

Jessica died unfortunately as I made the mistake of running with Matt. Losing Jessica, Chris and Mike were really body blows, I felt personally responsible for each one. The characterisation was so good and it puts you in their feet in a way only games can do, losing each one had a real blow (Ashley died as well but that had less impact on me). In the end I also felt guilty for letting Emily live as she was nothing but a bitch throughout. My only real saving grace as the director of events was that Sam and Matt made it through, though the fact the former was responsible for the death of two of her friends makes me feel less good about that.

It got really bloody dark in those last few hours too.

Absolutely brilliant experience and one that I'd highly recommend to everyone, might just jump to the top of my GOTY list.

Definitely going to give it another run through and make some different decisions.

The only flaw for me were some inconsistencies in what was going on and maybe a slightly lacklustre payoff for a couple of the characters. But maybe I just didn't see the best endings.

It really is very good. The last few hours are awesome with a brilliant finale.

I didn't lose as many as you first time through, but I intend to replay a few times more at some point.

Surprised this is such a small thread to be honest, though I suppose the nature of the game makes it difficult to talk about it freely.

Really hope lots of people pick it up now it's dropped in price a bit (though it is absolutely worth the full price), don't know anyone who has played it that hasn't loved it so hopefully it sold really well.

Is a sequel on the cards?
