I'llpost full thoughts tomorrow

Turns out Josh wasn't dead.
Mike must have been knocked out in the explosion not killed.
Emily survived the fall somehow
Jess survived being mauled and a huge fall :D

Finished game and they all made it lol

Finished it. Everyone alive. Despite desperately trying to kill at least one of them

4 people I thought were dead game back alive

Seeing the plans (if you explored as Sam) was really quite good - meant the player could work it out before the reveal "Oh Josh is Alive!"

Then "Oh Mike is alive...guess he was knocked out by the huge explosion"
"Oh EMILY's alive...she survived that fall? Balls I gave her the flare gun so she escaped. And she's still being an ABSOLUTE BITCH about Matt.

Ok...Hunter man explains - Wendigos! From mine Canables! Makes sense - well revealed story throughout this I think"

Hunter man is actually pretty terrible at this, isn't he?

Oh FFS Jess is alive. She was mauled and fell miles into blackness...cushioned by metal.
I hate Josh, but I do sort of feel bad for him. He's sick...

Mike being a boss and going to the sanitarium. Saved the Doggy (It disappeared after the explosion for a bit and I was worried)

No way am I opening that hatch - Jess can't shout that much, we've just been told they mimic prey when hunting (although they've never done it) and the Totem nearby ends in death.

Oh yeah Matt's still about. Him and Jess feel like superfluous people at this point that the expects to have been killed earlier by most people.

Sam's actually really boring in this isn't she? Presumably to get someone "guaranteed" to the end - but it's strange how notably few times she's been near danger (and to a lesser extent Mike)

Ewww Hannah/Beth's story

The "stand still in turn" while people escape is a bit funny. It's like a conga line of running out the door

Are you going to go back to mop up some of the other trophies? That will of course require some deaths.

Making you think people are dead when they weren't was a nice touch, particularly when you felt people had "died" outside of your control.

Yes?

I did quick run from the 2 collectables I missed - but the others would require playing 6-10 through again (although when you're not collectable hunting and know where to go/the scares it's much quicker...I did 5 in line 10 minutes). Not sure I'll bother.

Maybe but it up being "Oh he's alive!" "OH he's alive"..."Now she's alive?" "GOD DAMN IT ARE THESE PEOPLE MADE OF ADAMANTIUM?!?"

I enjoyed reading Hexx's story as he progressed through. The platinum is easy to get but you need to work backwards through the chapters. In a previous page in this thread I think I posted a link to a guide to do just that.

Edit: yep here you go

KingK wrote:I found around 80% of them 1st playthrough without a guide then used a guide off Google (psn trophies I think edit: this link for trophies and this one for collectibles for the rest. Some of them rely upon you doing (or not doing) something earlier. It's possible to get all collectibles on 1st playthrough if you go for the "save everyone" approach but I think that'd be tough to do without a guide

Personally after I finished the game on the 1st run through I used Episode select and started at ep10 to collect what I was missing, then did ep9 then ep8 then ep5-7 as a continuous run then ep4 then ep2-3. Note you don't need to complete whole episodes for the collectibles but you must complete the episode in order for decision trophies to pop

Really getting into this now. It lays on the cheap jump scares pretty thick doesn't it?

I have some favourite characters and some that I'd love to kill off in the most gruesome way.
Just got to:

Where Mike and Jessica get to the Guest cabin (about 6 miles away from the main cabin, or it felt it!)
She's just had her phone lobbed through the window and went outside to shout "We're gonna strawberry float!" then was ripped through the window of the front door. lol rip.

I was gutted, I wanted to have to pick between "Thumb anus with wet digit" or "Donkey Punch" :slol:

Finished this tonight, strawberry floating loved it!

I've not been gripped by a game like that for ages!

Survivors:
Sam, Chris, Jess & Matt.

Everyone was alive at the end until I thought it was a good idea for Sam to flick the light switch and kill Mike, Ash and Emily. :fp:

Notable choices:

Made friends with doggo. He survived until the end

Gave Matt the flare gun which he wasted/attracted the wendigo with.

Hit Josh with a plank of wood

Blew up the sanitarium at the end.

Umm.... Let Matt look at Emily and Mike through the telescope..

Can't wait to go through it again and try to kill them all
Mike is definitely grabbing the hand in the bear trap this time

Brilliant isn't it? Wish they brought out some DLC or a sequel as I've pretty much done all of the different options. Still picked it up on PSN just in case....

Yes?

Me and the wife have been playing this together over the past week in the evenings, had great fun deciding what to do together, although every time I just rushed a choice I'd strawberry float something up

Everyone was alive until The sewer when I opened the hatch as I though Jessica might be alive :fp: Then she WAS alive and promptly got killed when I tried to run :fp: Then I flicked the light switch at the end :fp:

All my choices Ffs

Saved the wolf though
