Expect the QAnon caucus in the house to number 20-30 by 2024.

To be fair it does sound pretty fun believing that your fighting against some evil underground organisation, I mean it's basically the plot to a bunch of games and movies.

That’s probably part of the issue as well though, people are almost conditioned by the media they consume to believe that there are conspiracies wherever they look. Life to the QAnon guys at the moment must just feel like a great big re-enactment of Enemy of the State. :fp:

General Flynn, probably. Trump is Gene Hackman.

QAnon[a] (/kjuːəˈnɒn/) is a far-right conspiracy theory detailing a supposed secret plot by an alleged "deep state" against U.S. President Donald Trump and his supporters. The theory began with an October 2017 post on the anonymous imageboard 4ch*n by someone using the name Q, who was presumably an American individual initially, but probably later became a group of people, claiming to have access to classified information involving the Trump administration and its opponents in the United States. Q has falsely accused many liberal Hollywood actors, Democratic politicians, and high-ranking officials of being members of an international child sex trafficking ring, and has claimed that Donald Trump feigned collusion with Russians in order to enlist Robert Mueller to join him in exposing the ring and preventing a coup d'état by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and George Soros. "Q" is a reference to the Q clearance used by the Department of Energy. QAnon believers commonly tag their social media posts with the hashtag #WWG1WGA, signifying the motto "Where We Go One, We Go All".

This is essentially the highest level of legal approval of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Excellent news.

The sooner the Electoral College is legislated into irrelevance, the better.

Shame the only states that have it on the books are comfortably Democrat so won't make a significant difference for this election.

The fact that Democratic states have been ratifying it is still a good sign, though - it means that it's not a fringe idea only touted by far left "radicals" like Bernie.

You're more on top of this than I am, are any of the states where it's currently being debated able to make it law before November?

To become effective nationwide it needs to be enacted in states that equal or exceed 270 Electoral College votes - the same conditions that any presidential candidate needs to meet to win. Currently it has been enacted in states equating to 196 points (though Colorado is still awaiting a statewide referendum).

It's still pending in states equating to 122 votes. It'll be shot down in a lot of them, I'm sure, but a few will likely enact it, pushing it over the 200 point threshold.

It's unlikely to go through by this November, but it's well on the way. It may be a thing come 2024.

'We're looking into it' has become a bit of a Trumpism for 'we're doing strawberry float all', but apparently they're considering joining India and banning TikTok:

BBC News wrote:"I don't want to get out in front of the president, but it's something we're looking at".

Would you recommend downloading TikTok? Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was asked that question on Monday night on Fox News.

"Only if you want your private information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party," he replied.

Asked if he would ban Chinese apps - including TikTok - he said: "I don't want to get out in front of the president, but it's something we're looking at".

That is a very worrying statement for TikTok.

The huge Chinese social media company has experienced phenomenal growth in the last three years. It's been downloaded more than two billion times.

But around the world, and not just in the US, TikTok is facing a backlash.

It's finding out the hard way that being international, a tech company, and Chinese isn't a great combination right now.

By far its largest market, India, banned TikTok last week, along with 58 other Chinese apps.

Though hardly the worst social media offender, literally nothing of value would be lost if TikTok closed tomorrow. Something else would quite easily take its place in the market anyway.

From what I've read, they are far and away the worst in terms of data harvesting.

The cynic in me thinks this is partially motivated by the embarrassment of his Tulsa rally.
