I think the main problem with that poll is I think many Americans have an odd idea about what socialism and communism actually is.
It's not helped by conservative media labelling everything even slightly helpful to people or any tax rise as socialism or flat out communism.
If you actually told them what Communism actually is and isn't I think you'd get far less support for it and I feel they'd be a bit shocked at just how misinformed they are about what socialism is as well.
For instance someone can vote for something like the NHS and not be a socialist but according to Fox news and the others that's completely impossible.

It must be really hard being Trump Jr.
The crushing poverty and lack of work prospects really make me feel sorry for the guy.

What an absolute trooper  .

I really feel we should have a whip-round for the guy just to cheer him up.

The Guardian:

After Beto O’Rourke withdrew from the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, Donald Trump swooped, delightedly calling the former Texas congressman “pathetic”, “nasty” and “a poor bastard” who “made a total fool of himself”.

After all the things Beto O’Rourke said we can't act surprised in the least by Trump's revelling in the Texan dropping out.

I haven't listened to the audio as I'm at work, but for anyone else that was confused and had to look it up (like I did): "octoroon" is a racist word that means you have a black great-grandparent.

EDIT: Ah, the video has a transcript. What a disgusting man.

Has anyone seen Trump's response to getting booed out of the building at a UFC event at the weekend? Tons of videos showing him enter the arena to a chorus of boos, but Trump and his supporters are saying its fake news and he was actually cheered.

Honestly, the reaction I've seen has been the biggest eye opener to me that things have really polarised to the point that you can't even have a discussion with populists. It's literally pointless for Dems to even try and win over Trump voters.

“Orwellian” is overused but is perfect to describe what is happening.

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

I don't know much about mma but I kind of assumed it would be a Trump favouring crowd so this response is quite surprising. Maybe the tide is turning?

The fact this is his reaction to the death of a protester too. So much for the hip young face of the alt right.

I don't know much about the average MMA fan but aren't WWE's fans surprisingly liberal?
