Honestly, the reaction I've seen has been the biggest eye opener to me that things have really polarised to the point that you can't even have a discussion with populists. It's literally pointless for Dems to even try and win over Trump voters.

I don't know much about mma but I kind of assumed it would be a Trump favouring crowd so this response is quite surprising. Maybe the tide is turning?

I don't know much about the average MMA fan but aren't WWE's fans surprisingly liberal?

Dunno. I did see somewhere in a piece that Trump had been a big supporter of UFC in the early days so I kind of assumed he was popular amongst the fans as well.

I found this chart, both WWE and UFC skew Democrat. I'm pretty sure the owners of both are very Republican though.

Vince McMahon is a personal friend of Donald Trump - his wife Linda is, or was, the small business advisor for the Trump government. That's a crazy stat.

The other axis suggests that WWE fans are the least likely to vote so they're probably not all that bothered about Trump.

Also monster truck fans are democratic. That's bizarre.

Why does this not surprise me.

Can't say I'm overly surprised to find that followers of a rich white man's sport - golf - are the horrific combination of highly likely to vote, large in number and stupidly conservative.

I also love the insanely Democratic line that WNBA fans take.

WWE fans are least likely to vote because they are under 14.

It really has got to the point with some where any political discussion with them is impossible as they're completely unable to see their side as anyone other than absolutely right and everyone else is wrong.
You can try and talk to these people but you'll achieve nothing. The real hardcore Trump fans are a lost cause.

I would never have ever guessed that the PGA drifted further Republican than NASCAR and Monster Trucks (Is that a sport???).

Jokes aside, the average WWE viewer in the US is now over 50 years of age. It’s been rising every year since around 2000 (when it was under 30), and at a faster rate than pretty much every major sports entertainment property shown in America.

There's a story doing the rounds that Jared Kushner played a part in the Jamal Khashoggi murder and that Turkey intercepted the communication between him and Saudi Arabia and then used it as leverage against Trump.

It's too much for me to take and so I'm calling it fake.

Why is WWE on a chart about sports?

Also calling yourself a fan of "high school sports" sounds a little dodgy....

Remember this is the country that still regularly uses Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll" at school sports events. :dread:

Well I think you'll find it's called the "hey song" Also, because it's deeply engrained in the sports I love, and I'm not willing to lose them from my life, it gets a pass. But because we can set up a mirror website that largely copies the current one, we'll drop like quicker than you can say YIKES at the merest hint of the owner having committed a sexual offense.

Gary Glitter doesn't receive any royalties from that song anyway.

Does that mean I can still listen to his (rather good) Christmas song next month? :shifty:

Royalties or not it's still a dodgy track to play!
