'A brutal dinner': celebrities talk about meeting Donald Trump

https://www.theguardian.com/culture/201 ... -harrelson

Charlie Sheen recalls running into Trump in a restaurant, just before he was to get married. Because he couldn’t make it to the ceremony, Trump removed his expensive platinum and diamond cufflinks and handed them to Sheen as a gift. “Six months later I was having some jewellery appraised and remembered the cufflinks,” Sheen recalled in 2016. “When the jeweller took a look, she recoiled and said: ‘In their finest moment, they were cheap pewter and bad zirconia.’ They had ‘Trump’ stamped on them. I think that says a lot about the man.”

The conspiracy theories won't go away no matter how many investigations are conducted.

True, but that autopsy is enough to make sensible people believe something untoward happened.

He was either murdered or he was deliberately allowed to kill himself.

"Right Mr. Epstein, the brutal assassins are stuck in traffic but have assured me that they'll be here shortly to commence the flaying of your skin and the breaking of your bones. I'll just leave this strong rope here in your cell, just in case, y'know, you want to tie some knots."

Even if the guards saw that he was trying to kill himself and decided not to intervene (or killed him), it doesn't mean that there was a conspiracy. Maybe he was being a dick and they just killed him, maybe they thought he was a rich pedo and deserved to die. There are possibilities that don't include large conspiracies.

So you're saying he was killed by Majestic 12?

His trial might have exposed a billionaire paedophile ring involving presidents and royalty. It's obvious he was either murdered or pressured into suicide.

I don't think it's obvious and I think that their were other possibilities that said I do find it highly suspicious and totally understand why people are 110% that it was the result of funny business.

The US have watered down their endangered species legislation.

https://arstechnica.com/science/2019/08 ... -it-means/

After two years of review and revision, the US Fish and Wildlife Service announced a set of changes to the regulations that spell out how it will implement parts of the Endangered Species Act. The changes focus on how officials should decide whether to list a species as endangered or threatened, what kind of protections threatened species should receive, and how officials will decide which areas of habitat to protect.

In practice, the changes may weaken the Endangered Species Act’s protections. Depending on how this and future administrations interpret the wording of the regulation, these changes could make it easier to remove species from the endangered and threatened species lists. The wording may also give officials tacit permission to dismiss climate change as an irrelevant threat to species’ survival and to consider economic factors when they’re deciding whether to protect a species.

There were many signs this was coming. The Trump administration proposed some of the revisions, including removing the phrase “without reference to economic impact,” last July. And overall, this batch of regulatory changes fits into the administration’s broader theme of eliminating regulation and rolling back environmental protections.

People's who job it is to literally to stop someone killing themselves don't let them kill themselves because they think they're a bit of a dick or they don't like them. They're not gonna put their jobs on their line like that.

Occam's Razor - He was facing a long prison sentence and killed himself. Far more likely than an international conspiracy.

Epstein genuinely committing suicide is a narrative that absolutely scans yes - he was facing a horrible life in prison so I can see plenty of reasons to kill yourself.

But that's why he was on suicide watch. It's not suspicious that he might have killed himself per se, it's that we was allowed to do it that doesn't read right.

A couple of people have been fired because of his death so that's happened whatever.

He wasn't on suicide watch when he killed himself although had only been off suicide watch for 12 days when it happened.

That's why I said he was on suicide watch. The questions are why was he taken off it when it was clearly still a risk, and why the guards still failed to do the required checks on him even after he was taken of it.

Pressured into or a blind eye turned to suicide I can but, but murdered just doesn’t ring true. If the billionaire conspirators can get somebody murdered in prison, why didn’t they kill him before he was arrested? Why didn’t they get a coroner friendly to them to lie on the autopsy rather than risk exposure by having the results mention the broken bones being consistent with homicide?
