I think the media has a huge part to play in why the US is the way it is.
The mainstream media are polite to the point of ridiculousness and as such never ask tough questions because they fear being accused of being mean to guests while at the same time the right wing media have no problem flat out lying and being rude to guests they don't like.

The difference between someone like CNN interviewing a Republican candidate or voter and Fox News interviewing an Atheist is stark.

Republicans need to face tough questions and asked to back up the horrible policies they have.
I have a feeling that if any of the Republican candidates had to go through something like PMQ's where opponents are allowed to ask awkward questions they would just walk out as they have no answers other than accusations and bluster.

They're being polite to a party seemingly hell bent on destroying all benefits, employee or environmental protections while giving all the money to the ultra rich who don't need it and they're letting them con people.

The worry is that his supporters, if and when he drops out, split heavily in favour of Warren. I'm really disappointed that she did not drop first as Bernie would have crush it if went. Of course, I think Sanders support is under represented here as the Iowa is very white and he will probably poll higher in more diverse states so hopefully this is just the start.

Biden is done but I think his supporters will go to Bloomberg. In the long-term I think it'll be Sanders vs the DNC's choice, Bloomberg. And I wouldn't rule out Bloomberg running as a third-party after that. Either way, Trump will win.

If Trump wins in 2020, I bet he'll also win in 2024.

Nah, AOC Vs Nikki Haley in 2024!

(Crazy as it may sound, I actually think Tucker Carlson will run for GOP nominee in 4 years).

Nah Trump 2024 and 2028 (Ivanka as vice president). Then he'll die and Ivanka will run in 2032, 2036 and 2040. She'll get a scare in 2044 when Eric Trump runs for the Democrats but she'll beat him and go on to win again in 2048.

strawberry floating hell if Tucker Carlson becomes President they may as well just cancel democracy :fp: .
The guy is a total, total, total bellend of epic proportions and his show is just him being a smug banana split at all times. Anyone voting for that bow-tie wearing twat deserves everything they get when he goes ultra right wing and cancels all public holidays and shuts down all other news networks who aren't massively right leaning.
I'm not a huge fan of his.

You just know Trump is going to come back as a ghost and get elected President again.
That'll show Obama as he was just the first Black President, Trump is the first Ghost President that's much more important!

Limbaugh has been spouting Trumpist bullshit for decades. He's living proof that Trump didn't come from nowhere. The two men probably idolise each other.

The award is a stain on the medal, though. If I were the next Democratic president, I would move immediately to scrap the honour and invent a new version, called, say, The Union Unity Medal. This would have the added benefit of pissing off southern banana splits.

Luckily, Limbaugh is dying of lung cancer.

It's a bit petty but can the medal be taken back?
Surely there must have been someone who's had it and done something terrible and deserved it being revoked?

To be fair there hasn't been any love lost between those two. Mitt really dislikes Trump and vise versa.
