I saw Trump on the news this morning talking about it. They're stopping the task force soon and just going back to 'normal'.

The thing is out government aren't that far behind the US. It worries me because this is definitely going to push the Tories into opening up our government quicker than they otherwise would.

It's all about trump and his polls. He said in that thing this morning something along the lines of "people won't stand for it" meaning he sees the protests and just sees lost voters. If he just cancels the stuff and tells everyone it's ok now OPEN FOR BUSINESS then they'll go nuts for him and vote vote vote.

That’s how I feel. I see that fat idiot do something dumb and for a few seconds I’m all like lololol dumb strawberry floating Americans and then I realise our very own pathetic government loves to take inspiration from them.

They can’t vote for Biden if they are all dead.

It's like a perfect storm of "problems with democracy" and "problems with individualist societies" - an incompetent populist appeasing uninformed conspiracy theorists.

The sad thing is it could apply almost equally to both the US and here in the UK

Meanwhile, with the reopening of some states, the US is on course for 350,000-500,000 deaths by year's end. Combined with the push to end the postal service, and this is blatant election rigging.

A guy was jogging and because some idiots think he looks a bit like someone who's been accused of some burglaries it's ok to hunt him down and kill him for the crime of jogging near their house?

The police think that's fine? Erm, what the fuckity strawberry float.

Just seen the video of this on the young Turks. It’s disgustingly predictable but nevertheless horrifying. They’ll get away with it too because it’s Virginia.

It's rather amazing to see just how quick some police are to points weapons at people.
In the UK it's actually quite hard for most people to have weapons drawn on them unless they're in a sensitive area or have weapons themselves. I bet most people in the UK go their whole life without seeing the police have to resort to drawing weapons let alone point them at someone but in North America it seems like a fairly common thing even for simple traffic stops.

Bidens campaign should just have the number of people who've died so far due to the virus on the bottom of the screen in all his adds.
Trump always said the President should be responsible for everything that happens so lets see him take responsibility for the deaths.

Biden needs to use the Virus response to completely crush Trump.

i have some sympathy for US cops in the sense that the amount of training they get and the quality of that training is godawful and insufficient. its almost like putting badly trained normal people into the most stressful situations possible (plus guns!) is a bad idea or something

edit: dont know what training is like in Canada

Seen lots of guns and ones pointed at me when I went to Northern Ireland back in the day. All my older brothers have been searched at gun point, my oldest bro beaten up at gunpoint.
