An utter embarrassment.

I still can't get my head around that people actually voted for that sack of gooseberry fool.

Let's see Fox News defend that.

It'll be safe to assume that people who vote for him really don't give a gooseberry fool about the country as long as they can say they're sticking it to the Libs. Do you like decent public services because you're not going to get it with that fat sack of gooseberry fool in charge.

What's worse is that tens of millions will vote for him again.

It's the action of a man who has been brought up in immense privilege and who has been hardwired into thinking he's better than everyone else. He's a spoilt child and if you grow up getting coddled and told how special and smart you are, that's how you treat others.

He's always been in the position of power due to his wealth, his family and his name. He's been able to bully people and he's been able to dictate terms by walking away. He's never had to work his way up, forge relationships or put others first. He's always been able to strong-arm situations due to his advantage by having the biggest wallet (and ego) at the table. He's never had to fight for something, grovel for something, do something he felt was beneath him or degrading in order to get an opportunity or a chance. It's been wheeled in on a little golden trolley, and he's been taught that if he doesn't like it, he can petulantly scream at the trolley driver to go and get him something else. Repeated reinforcement of his happiness, his specialness and his unique, precious worth will have been the cornerstones of his upbringing.

It's also a by product of a society that equates wealth with worth, and the fabled "American Dream which dictates that if you work hard enough you're rewarded. The reverse of this is that people look at those who have been rewarded a lot and think that must mean they've worked the hardest.

As an aside, his supporters will still view that favourable. Trump's tactic of basically dismissing anyone who criticises him as "fake" automatically undermines each and every challenge that comes his way. They won't be aghast at how he treats the media, as they vie the media with contempt and worth such treatment. They'll simply see it as him standing up for the establishment and not putting up with the "mainstream" media's bullshit.

Just unbelievable. Even worse are people on the right actually defending that behaviour.

US judge asks if Michael Flynn should be held in contempt for perjury

Emmet Sullivan shows reluctance to let justice department drop prosecution of ex-Trump aide

A US judge has signalled reluctance to allow the Department of Justice to drop its criminal prosecution of Michael Flynn, tasking a retired judge with advising on whether the former Trump administration official should face an additional criminal contempt charge for perjury.

In a short written order, the US district judge Emmet Sullivan in Washington asked John Gleeson, a former federal judge in New York, to present arguments in the case as an amicus curiae, or friend of the court.

Sullivan said he was seeking Gleeson’s recommendation on whether Flynn should face a criminal contempt charge for perjury because he testified under oath that he was guilty of lying to the FBI but then reversed course and said he had never lied.

Sullivan also said he wanted Gleeson to make the case for why a motion to dismiss the Flynn case filed by the DoJ last week should be rejected. A spokeswoman for the department declined to comment.

If you want to understand why Trump fans think he's doing an amazing job just have a look at the Fox News website.
They have everyone going in bigtime on the Obama story :fp: .

I don’t know what Obamagate is. Have they actually said what it is meant to be about? Or is it some nebulous nonsense shouted by the orange waste of skin man?

The unproven narrative holds that Obama, along with his then-Vice President Joe Biden, former FBI Director James Comey, multiple intelligence services in both the US and abroad, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and a handful of Ukrainian oligarchs, planted a phoney theory that Trump was colluding with Russia in order to win the 2016 election. Once planted, the theory was allegedly picked up by members of the anti-Trump "deep state" in the US and used to spy on and frame members of Trump's inner circle.

That sounds like the type of gooseberry fool they can just keep hammering away at and is pretty much impossible to fully disprove.
They also don't have to prove anything themselves they can just make more and more vague accusations whenever they feel under pressure about something else.
Pretty pathetic really.
