President Donald Trump’s company planned to give a $50 million penthouse at Trump Tower Moscow to Russian President Vladimir Putin as the company negotiated the luxury real estate development during the 2016 campaign, according to four people, one of them the originator of the plan.

Two US law enforcement officials told BuzzFeed News that Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal lawyer at the time, discussed the idea with a representative of Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s press secretary.

The Trump Tower Moscow plan is at the heart of a new plea agreement by Cohen, who led the negotiations to bring a gleaming, 100-story building to the Russian capital. Cohen acknowledged in court that he had lied to Congress about the plan in order to protect Trump and his presidential campaign.

A reminder of how short the investigation has been so far compared to previous investigations -

He's missed the bit out where he and every member of his family totally lied about this.

I would utterly love to know what he wrote in his answers to Mueller.

This position alone ought to be enough for impeachment, but I guess it's going to get far more damning in time. And of course, it doesn't even touch on obstruction of justice.

I think he may be the first leader of a nation who thinks 99% of the country he's leading is a shithole.

The way he talks about the USA makes it sound like a 3rd world country and if anyone else said the stuff he does most Americans would be appalled.

This absolutely destroys the argument that all this was happening without Trump's knowledge. The question of what he knew and when seems now to have an answer: Everything, from the beginning.

The Democrats aren't going to want to impeach him based solely on this information, however. They need to be strategic, let Mueller look into everything and fully wrap up his investigation. Were recent reports of the final report being written by Mueller wrong?

Hasn't Pelosi said that the Democrats will only go for impeachment if the Republicans approach them and ask them to do it?

Probably, the Democratic leadership is not of a mind to impeach Trump willy nilly.

I think the thing I love most about the current developments is that it is this man who is going to do the most damage to Trump.

I think for some people Trump would need to go into a press conference and spend the entire time just staring vacantly into the distance and dribbling constantly before they start thinking that maybe there's a problem.

Weve been over this Pete, the man can do no wrong in the eyes of his hardcare support. If he does something they like, they cheer and shout, if he says or does something they dont like they ignore it and blame it on fake news. If he got on stage and started jerking off they would blame the liberal media for pushing him to breaking point. If he strawberry floated a child in the middle of a news conference they would blame Soros for setting him up. There is literally nothing that could happen to dissuade his most ardent supporters from backing him. They are so conditioned against fake news and ignoring facts and just going with your gut that they will shut out absolutely anything that doesnt fit their narrative.

People like having a powerful advocate that they consider to have their core interests in common. They can happily ignore lesser aspects without giving the tiniest of gooseberry fools if it means the majority of the time he'll be supporting ideology that aligns with their own.

I'd actually quite like to see him go on stage and start tugging one off just to see Hannity's reaction.
How would he spin that into a positive and try and maintain a shred of dignity and respect from anyone.
