Trump is running concentration camps and his supporters don't care - nothing's going to dissuade them

Yep, the irrational hatred of liberalism by Trump fans means they can pretty much justify doing anything.

You can't argue rationally with them.

You can't even appeal to their self interest - they don't care if they're getting 'hurt', as long as "the enemy" is getting 'hurt' too (sometimes less than them but they don't care)

I really don't get how you counter it.

It’s way too early to call that. Trump didn’t even announce his candidacy until June 2015 and nobody thought he had any real chance of winning until months and months after that.

We are at a similar stage now, there is no clear Democratic nominee or frontrunner at the moment. Once the candidate has been selected, or a clear frontrunner emerges, then we can judge their chances against Trump.

I know, I tried for years on that USpolitics forum and got nowhere.
They will not budge ever on the idea that liberals are all terrible and that the country somehow belongs only to them. Now I've finally left they have a single liberal guy left who's just constantly pounced upon and insulted and it's just a massive circle jerk of seeing who can make the most outrageous claims about how terrible liberals are.

All you can do is hope that they are a minority as they are beyond all reason.

The one about the border station housing immigrants, adult and children. Hard to read. Likely been discussed already, I haven't been keeping an eye on the thread.

Trump's core support alone isn't enough to win again. His margins in the Rust Belt were razor thin.

We have to wait and see who survives the Democrat circular-firing-squad-purity-test extravaganza first.

The field will be much smaller by the third debate.

Having election cycles as long as they have really doesn't help things.
Americans must be strawberry floating amazed that we can get bored shitless by general election coverage that lasts just a couple months every 4 years or so when they're seriously talking about an election that won't take place until November 3rd 2020  .

The sheer amount of bollocks people like Hannity have to dig up in that time just to keep everyone at maximum shitting themselves level is just crazy.

I honestly think people would just tell a party to go strawberry float themselves if they started campaigning 18 months before an election here and rightly so.

I also find it slightly baffling that Americans are fine with their politicians spending roughly 60% of their time in office fundraising for themselves rather than actually doing the job of being politicians :fp: .

Just read the Declaration of Independence.

Eerie how much Trump came to mind while reading through it.

I can't see him getting in again. If he does......damn, America should be ashamed. He's a habitual liar.

The incumbent is always (theoretically) in a stronger position though. They don't have multiple other candidates from within their own party pointing out all their flaws and criticising them before they even go into contest with the other candidate.

I'm not sure incumbency alone can save him, but combined with Russian interference and voter suppression...

Watching the Clinton Nudes Network and apparently Trump’s speech and related crap has been delayed due to the weather (thunder in the area). SAD.

Did they at least have the Clinton nudes in a window at the side?
I'm also assuming we're talking about Bill Clinton.

Trump about to speak. Massive bullet proof glass in front of the podium.

Properly gooseberry fool weather. People going crazy for the “space force”.

Trump going through the whole story of the British bastards.

Said Alexander Graham Bell was ‘a great American inventor’. Crowd applaud, seemingly not realising the bloke was Scottish.

You'd think Trump would know this, being half Scottish himself. For God's sake.

I’ve never seen anyone read an autocue as badly as he does. Sometimes he speaks and you wouldn’t even know any full stops or sentence structure exists at all.

Air Force arrive in their expensive new planes and CNN announce they’re going to commercial. :msgreen:

Why would you think Trump gives a gooseberry fool about his heritage, beyond what he can monetize under his dictator-chic brand?
