It’s amazing reading all the conspiracy theories around this.

Right wingers believe this is part of the #clintonbodycount

Left wingers believe it was Trump.

(UK) republicans believe it was the Royals.

It shows just how shady powerful people are that you can make a convincing case against all of them.

I'm just imagining how awkward it would be if all the assassins turned up at the same time.

Prince Andrew was accused of groping a woman at Jeffrey Epstein's US home, according to newly released court papers.

The accusation is contained in documents from a 2015 defamation case, released by a judge on Friday.

Buckingham Palace said on Saturday this related to US proceedings "to which the Duke Of York is not a party".

"Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue."

The court papers were released on Friday, a day before wealthy US financier Epstein was found dead in his prison cell while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Contained in the defamation case papers is an allegation by a woman called Johanna Sjoberg that Prince Andrew touched her breast while they sat on a couch in Epstein's Manhattan apartment in 2001.

She recalled in the documents: "I just remember someone suggesting a photo, and they told us to go get on the couch. And so Andrew and Virginia sat on the couch, and they put the puppet, the puppet on her lap.

"And so then I sat on Andrew's lap, and I believe on my own volition, and they took the puppet's hands and put it on Virginia's breast, and so Andrew put his on mine."

The papers relate to a defamation case brought by Virginia Giuffre, an alleged victim of Epstein, against socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.

Ms Maxwell was alleged to have procured underage girls for her then-boyfriend Epstein and his wealthy friends, but she has always denied the allegations.

Ms Giuffre subsequently sued Ms Maxwell for defamation after the media heiress claimed she was a liar.

Ms Giuffre had also claimed she was forced into a sexual encounter with the Duke of York.

But in 2015, Buckingham Palace denied this allegation, saying then that "any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors" by the duke was "categorically untrue".

That's pretty much a non-story compared to some of the allegations linked to this guy.

Another all time great impromptu Trump press conference...

President Donald Trump threatened undefined retaliation Friday against countries and organizations that issue travel warnings on the United States because of gun violence.

"If they did that, we'd just reciprocate," Trump said during a wide-ranging impromptu gaggle with reporters at the White House, en route to fundraisers in New York.

He added: "We are a very reciprocal nation with me as the head. When somebody does something negative to us in terms of a country, we do it to them."

Amnesty International and a growing list of countries have begun issuing warnings about travel to the United States because of gun violence, including mass shootings over the weekend in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

Warnings, which are of varying degrees of intensity, have come from a list of countries that include Uruguay, Venezuela, Japan, Germany, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand.

In an advisory issued Wednesday, Amnesty International said: "Depending on the traveler's gender identity, race, country of origin, ethnic background, or sexual orientation, they may be at higher risk of being targeted with gun violence, and should plan accordingly."

Trump did not specify any particular country, or what he might do to retaliate.

Trump also said he received another "beautiful letter" from Kim Jong Un, in which the North Korea leader protested recent "war games" – joint military exercises – between the United States and South Korea.

Trump said he sympathized with Kim's complaint, saying he "never liked" the exercises because "I don't like paying for" them. He said he approved the recent round of exercises because he thought they were necessary.

Trump also questioned whether September trade talks would take place between the United States and China, as they are locked in a renewed tariff war.

While both sides still want a trade agreement, Trump said, "we'll see whether or not we keep our meeting in September ... We are winning and winning big."

The president said the nation's children should not worry as they head back to school this fall, even amid a spate of mass shootings in recent years.

"They have nothing to fear,' he said. "They have nothing to worry about."

Daily Mail also going in hard on their website on Epstein, with...

Jeffrey Epstein told guards someone tried to KILL HIM weeks before he hanged himself - as questions mount over why billionaire paedophile was taken off suicide watch just as sex slave lawsuit named powerful friends including Prince Andrew

And...
Spotlight turns on Jeffrey Epstein's British socialite 'fixer' Ghislaine Maxwell after his suicide - but will she be prosecuted?

And...
Conspiracy theorists question whether Jeffrey Epstein was actually murdered and a Trump aide speculates that the Clintons had a hand in his death

And...
Andrew's past comes back to haunt him: Prince was with the Queen at Balmoral when news of ex-friend Jeffrey Epstein's suicide broke, a day after the royal was accused of being intimate with billionaire's 'sex slave' in unsealed documents

And...
Jeffrey Epstein had a 'biological' need to 'have three orgasms a day' says masseuse recruited to be his 'personal assistant' as lurid details emerge about millionaire pedophile's 'threesomes with underage girls'

Making up the lead headlines.

Seth Abramson is a well known Twitter blowhard renowned for his waffling, semi-conspiratorial threads. He's not quite a troll, but his interpretation of news events is not to be trusted.

Let's also keep in mind that Ashe Schow is the senior editor of the Daily 'founded by Ben Shapiro' Wire, that well known bastion of impartial news coverage.

Edit: I would want to add that I do actually agree with what Moggy is saying, in that there hasn't been confirmed evidence on this particular matter. But the gall of someone from the Daily Wire use the term 'dubious sources' is pretty unbelievable. As it stands, I haven't seen any official sources confirm what Coudrey is claiming, but then the entire political system these days has become so ridiculously tribalist that it can be difficult to parse the authenticity of sources at an immediate glance (unless they're from known bullshit merchants like, well, the Daily Wire).

Yep, I wouldn’t believe either of them.

I don't do conspiracy theories but the whole point of suicide watch is so to prevent suicide and it's a well known process and isn't all that unusual in prisons where depression is obviously rife.
Hopefully there's a process in the US to set-up completely a apolitical (although Fox News will say any process biased against Trump) investigation as this really is a crisis for the USA as if we now have a situation where we feel people in prison can be forced into suicide it should be a huge wake-up call.

I kind of agree with Peter even if it's suicide it's a failure and there needs to be a good account of what was happening when it happened.

Trump is tweeting like a man on a deflection mission today. Honestly if anyone in the elite class was involved in Epstein dirt, he'd be top of my list.

It will be interesting to so see the overall political reaction. Obviously there will probably be solidarity between the Republicans and all the liberal establishment, but I'm not so sure about the younger socialist incursion. Then again, they're probably as ignorant as the rest of us so not much they can beyond pushing for a proper investigation.
