Without knowing whom his replacement will be, that's a bold statement to make.

Maybe it'll be Erik Prince.

There’s every chance it’ll be Erik Prince, but I’m not sure Trump has the best relationship with Betsy DeVos - his sister - so we will see what happens there.

Prince has a private army in Afghanistan, does he not? I'm sure Trump would love to have that at his beck and call.

I don't believe that Prince has any ties to Blackwater anymore, I vaguely remember him making comments about being thrown under the bus and forced out of the company years ago. That said I'd be very surprised if he doesn't at least carry substantial influence in the world of private military contracts and that may indeed prove to be an attractive prospect for Trump.

However, I'm not sure that Prince will take Bolton's role. I don't think he's a fan of "big government," as he terms it so it would remain to be seen if Prince would actually want the role. Especially if it means being associated with the actual train wreck that is the Trump administration.

Meanwhile...

Meet Charlie Kupperman, Trump’s acting national security adviser who advised a group that promotes anti-Muslim conspiracy theories

After President Donald Trump announced that he had fired his national security adviser, John Bolton, the White House named Charles Kupperman, the deputy national security adviser, to temporarily fill in.

Kupperman served in President Ronald Reagan's administration and as an executive at defense contractors Boeing and Lockheed Martin before joining the Trump administration last January.

Civil rights groups have raised alarms about Kupperman's association with the Center for Security Policy, a right-wing think tank that has promoted a host of anti-Muslim conspiracy theories.

Kupperman is a longtime adviser to Bolton and reportedly aligns with the outgoing official's hawkish orientation towards foreign policy and intervention.

So 9/11 rolls around again, which is a time to remember the thousands who died in the attack on the towers, as well as the tens of thousands of civilians in Afghanistan and the hundreds of thousands of civilians in Iraq who were executed for a crime they didn't commit.

It's also of course a time to remember the best and worst (bworst?) tweet of all time:

Yep, Trump really does have a shitty way with words.
He's got to be the least empathetic President in history and he seems incapable of just writing a simple condolence tweet without injecting some shitty opinion or making it somehow about himself.
His idea that he helped the clean-up on 9/11 is strawberry floating laughable as can anyone honestly see Trump helping out and putting himself at risk for the sake of others with zero benefit to him personally?

On 9/11 all Trump did was boast that he now had the tallest building in Manhattan.

Immigration & Customs Enforcement accidentally reveals future "Urban Warfare" facility:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has accidentally revealed the whereabouts of a future "urban warfare" training facility that is expected to include "hyper-realistic" simulations of homes, hotels and commercial buildings in Chicago and Arizona.

On Tuesday, ICE published an acquisition form for the procurement of "hyper-realistic training devices" for a new training facility for its expanding Special Response Team (SRT) program on the Federal Business Opportunities website.

The immigration agency had sought to redact the location of the new training facility, but failed to do so properly.

Maybe, but he also rebutted Trump in real time via text yesterday on Fox. He's not going down without a fight, and there's nobody who likes to fight more than Trumplethinskin.

They're already in the process of transforming.

"Sure feels like ICE is positioning itself to become an all encompassing, no accountability, paramilitary force," tweeted Erica Johnson, the director of AFSC's Iowa Immigrant Rights Program. "First they came for the immigrants..."
