There's no evidence Sanders is at death's door or about to go mad which are the only reasons I would care about his general health over his politics. I agree that Warren supports similar headline policies, but I think there is a very meaningful distinction to be drawn between democratic socialism and social democracy; Sanders is building a genuinely, uncompromising left movement, while being an establishment policy wonk makes Warren's anti-capitalist praxis worse, not better. Her progressive taxes would be less progressive, her debt forgiveness would reach fewer people, etc.
Sanders' health was never in doubt until this heart attack, which has put his age and condition under the spotlight. Coupled with the loss of his daughter in law and his, you know, pretty advanced age, I think he should consider dropping out and throw his support behind Warren - though that obviously leaves her exposed and alone on the debate stages. I enjoy watching them tag teaming for the left, but it'd be better to be her VP and push her slightly leftwards where he can than be dead. I just worry for him.
Warren isn't anti-capitalist, she's pro-regulating the strawberry float out of it to ensure that it works for everyone and harms nobody - both Sanders and Warren want a more equitable society that works for everyone, within a capitalist framework.
Sure, maybe her policies are slightly less ambitious than Sanders', but they're also better thought out, and being rolled out in a much more aggressive campaign than his, and would arguably be more achievable than Sanders' policies. Her position in the party also means that she has much better relationships with the people needed to make them happen - though we need to get rid of the feckless, corrupt Pelosi's of the party leadership too.

I think it'll be a long time before the US has another genuinely socialist candidate with a shot at the White House. Maybe AOC in 20 years or something.
I'd vote for any candidate the Democrats put up, even Biden.
Sanders is well worth supporting, but I prefer Warren for her depth of knowledge, her legal expertise, her outstanding practicality, and frankly, her relatively scandal free past.
All Trump needs to do to Sanders is wheel out the video from the 80s of him praising Fidel Castro and he's dead where it counts.
