Hannity is a strawberry floating joke. I'm really glad his type of show isn't allowed here on a news channel.
He's news in the same way I'm the news when I talk about how amazing OLED is and why it should be against the law for any other TV technology to be developed or sold on this planet.

Hannity is a man badly in need of a good old fashioned tar and feathering.

BBC News wrote:The number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits jumped by almost 3 million last week as virus shutdowns continue to weigh on the US economy.

The filings brought the total number of new jobless claims since the middle of March to more than 36 million.

That amounts to nearly a quarter of the American workforce.

Nickolas Ray, 30, IT consultant in Atlanta, Georgia:
This is the first time I've been unemployed since I was 14. Being laid off kind of hit me out of the blue - in my company we thought we were all safe.

Applying for unemployment has been frustrating. You have to fax your notice in to the Department of Labour - but I don't have a fax machine. And then the receiving fax machine also needs to have paper - with government offices mostly closed, it took me five times to send something through.

I'm very lucky - I've always saved money, since I started working as a babysitter as a teenager, so I've socked away enough money to be OK for now. But if I catch Covid-19 and go to hospital, that whole plan would be disrupted. My biggest concern is how things are going to work if I have no health insurance anymore.

I'm job hunting right now - everyone's very excited to talk, but unfortunately no one knows what's going to happen so there aren't any firm job openings.

A FAX MACHINE. Straight out of 1999.

I know the NHS, perhaps until recently (?) were still using them. That and pagers.

Japan is still in love with the fax machine.

The unproven narrative holds that Obama, along with his then-Vice President Joe Biden, former FBI Director James Comey, multiple intelligence services in both the US and abroad, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and a handful of Ukrainian oligarchs, planted a phoney theory that Trump was colluding with Russia in order to win the 2016 election. Once planted, the theory was allegedly picked up by members of the anti-Trump "deep state" in the US and used to spy on and frame members of Trump's inner circle.

Yes, James Comey, that well known Democrat, colluding with then President Obama to discredit Annoying Orange who, at that point, was nothing more than a footnote in American politics.

The same Comey that then came out against HRC and quite possibly lost her the election.

It all makes sense now.

Honestly if it wasn't for Theme Hospital, I'd not have heard the sound of a fax machine in almost 20 years.

It does make you wonder what exactly he has to do to lose votes.
Watching as Americans die needlessly isn't enough it seems.

If there’s one thing we learned from the second half of the last decade it’s that opinion polls don’t mean a strawberry floating thing nowadays.

Saw those particular figures being discussed on Twitter, I think someone dug into the data for this poll to extract, specifically, independent voters in battleground states: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/05/13/poli ... index.html

The summary CNN went with is Trump 52% to Biden 45% amongst all voters in battleground states though. Doesn't paint quite as bad a picture, though still really bad.

It's on page 27 of that SSRS link

http://cdn.cnn.com/cnn/2020/images/05/1 ... -.2020.pdf

Suppose that the presidential election were being held today and you hawd to choose between Joe Biden as the
Democratic Party's candidate, and Donald Trump as the Republican Party's candidate. Who would you be more likely
to vote for?

I imagine those are the raw numbers that then get put into a formula of some sort. Still, not great.

Fortunately there’s still six months for people to see sense. Unfortunately there’s still six months for people to double down on their ignorance.

Ehh I'm not going to start panicking until it's been clearly explained how that number came up.Trying to aggregate over multiple states isn't particularly useful as is given the nature of the electoral college. Individual state polls are far more useful.
