It's funny how many Republican voters will cry about everything they don't like being socialist without having the foggiest idea of what socialism actually is.

And because nobody else here really understands it either, generally equating it to communism and totalitarianism, their bitching is highly effective.

I think a lot of them know and are just lying. Somebody pointed out a lot of republican leaders have had Covid jabs but are still telling their fans that the jab is dangerous.

https://www.theguardian.com/law/2021/ju ... hen-breyer

The Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell, said on Monday it was “highly unlikely” he would allow Joe Biden to fill a supreme court vacancy arising in 2024, the year of the next presidential election, if Republicans regained control of the chamber.

“I think it’s highly unlikely – in fact, no, I don’t think either party, if it were different from the president, would confirm a supreme court nominee in the middle of an election,” McConnell told Hugh Hewitt, a conservative radio host.

McConnell blocked Barack Obama from filling a vacancy in 2016, denying Merrick Garland, now attorney general, even a hearing after he was nominated to fill the seat vacated by the death of Antonin Scalia.

McConnell said that was because no new justice should be seated in an election year – a position he reversed with alacrity in 2020, on the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg two months before polling day

He's 79 now. Hopefully he will no longer exist by 2024.

If they think Biden is a Marxist, they are going to lose their strawberry floating minds when they find out what actual socialists want to do. :datass:

Yep, he's also got a terrible interview technique as well.
It's why so many people simply refuse to go on his show.

I just got to the part of Wastelands 3 where you meet God President Reagan and his posse of Nancies.

I wiped out the entire town and destroyed the giant robotic Reagan before doing any of the story missions there :shifty: .
In my defence, he had just murdered a defenceless robot who he'd just sentenced to death for the crime of possibly being a Communist.

Fox News would likely say I'm a threat to US democracy.

My only regret is I had to kill a trader and a medic who was going to give me free lifetime healing but erm, nope those loonies had to die.

Slow Joe has made Juneteenth a federal holiday.

I'm sure the Rs will take great pleasure in reversing the next time they get in.

The bill was proposed by a republican in the senate.

I'm sure Fox News are hard at work on segments about how an extra day of holiday will mean all companies in America will go bankrupt in the next 2 years.
It's amazing how so many Americans have been brainwashed into thinking taking a holiday is terrible and will just take as little as possible to try and seem hard-working and tough.

Just came in to LOL over that! Has Rudy commented yet, as I want to see his meltdown! Not that he had much credibility in the first place, but he has sacrificed everything professionally for Trump!

Also I've been laughing all day at US right wingers thinking Biden threatened nukes on gun owners. It's such a ridiculous conflation that I can only laugh.

Biden is absolutely right, if they think legal guns in the US will protect them from the military might of the US Government then they are morons. The US Govt is too strong for any internal insurrection by a magnitude probably beyond all comprehension. The second amendment for the purposes of restraining a government have been gone for at least 60 years. Its about time a president actually told these idiots that their guns are totally useless (aside from murdering each other).
