Sadly, and incredibly predictably, when faced with this devastating case involving a 10 year old girl, they've decided to blame a child instead of conceding on any point of their religious tyrany.

Looks like that's from February 2021, did it actually pass?

Yes and no. It passed the North Carolina house but is subject to voters ratifying it in the elections (November 2022).

If you kill the mother, you kill the baby also so....this doesn't make sense, also, no chance this bill will pass.

America, especially in the south has all sorts of f**ked up laws, 'proposed' bills like these are always around brought by right wing republicans for publicity, not quite sure why they get any traction.

'Subject to Voter Approval' is doing a LOT of the heavy lifting here. We on the Left have enough crazy right wing laws and regulations to fight against, this hyperbolic nonsense doesn't help our cause.

It's not about protecting the "baby", it's about controlling women.

And plenty of the crazy bills pass.

We could spend days putting up 'proposed bills', doesn't mean anything, at all.

It gives an idea of where the Republicans in the south are heading.

But you are ignoring that that bill passed, it'll now go to the voters. That's a long way from "it'll never happen!".

Again, they are f**king crazy but it won't get voted in, so soooo many get 'passed' because they don't even read them (sad but true).

Trying to put a positive spin on that, I think it's sort of encouraging that 47 Republicans voted in favour of something that traditionally conservative America would massively disapprove of.

Does that still pass or did it need like a super-duper majority?

It needs to pass in the senate where it needs 10 Republican votes so its unlikely to pass.
