It makes a weird kind of sense that the conspiracy that started America down the dark path of governmental mistrust to Q would somehow circle back around to JFK. :slol:

Did he come back from the dead, or have they moved the date again?

Edit: How do you get convinced JFK Jr is coming back from the dead, and then continue believing even when it doesn't happen? Surely you'd start to question things when none of the predictions come true?

Must be a huge correlation with religion nuts.

It's just a cult. We've all heard of the cults where the leader tells them it's the end of the world next Tuesday. And then on the Wednesday he announces that he miscalculated and armageddon is actually due the Friday after.

It's beyond me why anybody believes that sort of crap, but it seems very easy for certain people to fall into it.

Deep-rooted, chronic issues of self-worth and insecurity.

He's going to pitch 2022 as the chance to increase the party's Senate majority and get things done, but that's not going to energize the base in the least.

The Corporate Democrats need to die off.

Virginia and New Jersey governor races, and in particular how the GOP is galvanising its base ahead of next year's midterms. Since August Biden has been having a nightmare.

Absolutely. Best thing for Dems in 2024 is if Biden doesn't run and there are better candidates than Kamala.

Thanks. Are there any articles summarising what's going on in the governor races and what the GOP is doing?

They will likely squeak a NJ victory but Virginia is a bigger story (Biden won it by 10 pts). Good analysis here:

Weirdest story from the elections is probably this.

Incumbent democrat mayor loses primary to a socialist challenger. The socialist challenger becomes the only person on the ballot in the election as the republicans don't field a candidate. The incumbent mayor wins re-election by convincing voters to write his name on the ballot paper.

I think the New Jersey governor is still expected to be a democrat but it's very close. Interesting fact is that NJ apparently hasn't re-elected a democrat governor since 1977.

Biden will run again, with Kamala as his running mate again. They'll probably win again, against another unpalatable fascist who people vote against, but the odds of their agenda happening are 0, and the 2026 midterms will be a rerun of 2014, and just like today, just like next year, it'll be all the left's fault. These people never learn, right wing pseudo-centrism is a dead ideology.

I think right wing pseudo-centrism is actually gaining strength. I think the problem with Biden is the inability to really get anything done. He's made nobody on his side happy, the far left won't be pleased anyway, but the centre and right of his party won't be happy either as he hasn't really made any achievements.

I don't necessarily think that's Biden's fault either. I think he has been out flanked by some aspects of his party and there isn't a unified direction he can follow. I also think we are now seeing the effect of "well, we got rid of Trump, but what do we actually stand for".

It's better than the alternative of course, but Biden really needs to start delivering on policy.

Biden was never going to be a good president. The democrats are not a good party.

Biden is hamstrung by a 50/50 senate and two senators who like to appear independent by voting against the party.

Really?

In the UK yes definitely. In the US, perhaps. The US are much further to the right than UK, so Trump can seem extreme right to us, but not so much in the US. How do you see it, genuinely interested, I could be wrong but to me it feels like it's growing rather than dying off.

Has anyone been watching the Rittenhouse trial? This looks like pure lip service. Judge seems very disinterested like its a waste of time, and the prosecutor is terrible. I see a lot of talk about fair trials in terms of the defendant, but in this case it seems all the cards in the courtroom are in his favour. I don't believe this is in anyway a fair trial for the prosecution, that's assuming the prosecution are actually up for the fight.

He was very far right, even for the US.
