It certainly sounds like something Trump would say, but isn't it hearsay? I suppose the onus is now on those who were in the car to refute her testimony under oath, but it's not a slam dunk until that smoke clears imo.

Unless they have testimony from the people who were there, this wheel thing is just pointless.

It's worth pointing out that a source close to the secret service said this isn't true and the guys in the car will testify to that effect. That's just a source, the secret service haven't said this.

They also think the Republicans are witness tampering, something else to consider....

She doesn't strike me as the sort of person who would enjoy prison food so I rather doubt she would intentionally purger herself in such a high profile case as I have a feeling anyone being caught in obvious purjury is going to have the book thrown at them particularly hard.
I hear the wine selection in US prison is really bad.

This is absurd. Completely unelected and doing whatever the strawberry float they want.

States should just ignore them. What they gonna do? (Semi serious question.....)

Apparently it's not hearsay.

It depends on the measures they run on and the vociferousness of tone from the Democrats. A problem that Dem strategists will have to square is that a lot of the anger is towards the structures of US politics and the Supreme Court in particular. The sexy solution is to burn it all down. Harder to convince people that voting will make a difference this time, particularly since voting for Biden has led to a situation where his entire ability to govern is limited by two purple state senators and a Republican majority SCOTUS. Republicans will get the House either way imo because US will likely be in a recession soon and that's the main issue.

I disagree.

1) The oncoming recession is a global issue, not one limited to America.

2) If you don't have any human rights, which is the direction the Rs are heading, what does money matter?

I think the next Biden opinion polls will be a decent bellwether. Very difficult for any president to do well in their first midterms and Biden's approval rating keeps dropping. That's where I see the certainty of a Republican victory in November. If Biden was able to see the SCOTUS has handed him a huge opportunity I'd be a bit more hopeful, but he remains useless:

The Democrats really urgently need a strategy that isn't just calling for votes as it will soon prove impossible for them to win entirely rigged races.

Biden has suggested they need to get rid of the filibuster for abortion bills, which is true. The reality though is that they need to get rid of everything that continues to disenfranchise their own supporters.

Will you vote for the party that wants to erode your human rights, or the party that will do nothing to stop the erosion of your human rights?

It's not going to happen. Biden is not going to stand in defense of the rights of the American people - he just made a deal with Mitch "Bad Faith" McConnell to seat an anti-abortion judge in a lifetime position in a Kentucky circuit court, in exchange for a promise to not stand in the way of upcoming US attorney nominations, or something. :fp:

He's also not going to expand the Supreme Court, because he's afraid to anger the Nazis.

At this rate, we're probably headed toward a bloody civil war that will more closely resemble the Troubles than the set piece battles of the 19th century.
