Armed Man Who Stormed FBI Office Said He Wanted ‘War’ After Mar-a-Lago Raid
The armed man who tried to storm the FBI’s Cincinnati office on Thursday, before getting into a shootout with cops that left him dead in an Ohio cornfield, appeared to be a conspiracy-addled Trump super-fan who told his followers on Truth Social that he was “ready for combat” after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago on Monday.
The gunman was identified as 42-year-old Ricky Shiffer, the Ohio State Patrol told The Daily Beast.
People on Resetera basically have him convicted and sitting in jail already. As serious as this seems I just can't see anything substantial sticking to him. Best outcome I think is either a ban from holding public office or him being so clearly toxic that the Republicans are forced to drop him. Both of those would be fantastic outcomes buy I think even they are a stretch.
Don aside some of the behaviour from Fox has been truly appalling, shock horror I know. It's like themselves and other extreme right wing news outlets have dropped all pretence now and are just goading people to attack judges, the FBI basically anyone they don't agree with. It's already led to one lunatic getting themselves killed, you just have to hope to goodness that no one on the right sight of the law gets hurt.
Finding 11 sets of documents at his home a year and a half after he left office just makes me wondering what other documents he took, where are they now and who has them?
He's referring to the Presidential library, where US National Archives sends them after carefully reviewing to take out classified materials.
Ah yes, the Obama Presidential Library where anyone can just casualy pop in and learn how to build a hydrogen bomb and they also sell everything you need in the gift shop at extremely reasonable prices. It's extremely convenient .
I'd rather the internet didn't assume he's guilty of selling secrets. It will just help perpetuate his myth of victimhood further if he's innocent of that specific thing.
Like let the investigation run its course. I'm sure he'll be guilty of something. It might not be this.

Can you imagine the explosion of conspiracy theories that would result? The instant deification of the man by the fascists, the violence, the riots? No way they don't take it and try to turn it into the spark that blows the country up.
