Yeah I think that was the thinking on the Reddit post I saw.

Basically everyone knows these shares and company are grossly overpriced, but that won't stop the MAGA nuts from buying into them to support their leader. I managed to buy cheap before some court Decision was made and it was officially connected to Trump. Once that happened the stocks tripled in price because Trump is gonna Trump.

The belief is that this stock will crash at any moment as the whole thing is built on sand. *fingerscrossed*

Man outside courthouse lights himself on fire

Reporting from outside the courthouse

Just moments ago, a young man doused himself in a liquid and lit himself on fire in the park in front of the courthouse, after throwing coloured pamphlets in the air.

Press here covering the trial saw it happening and everyone in the area started screaming.

There’s a massive police presence and officers ran into the park and shouted for a fire extinguisher.

He was carried away on a stretcher, his body very badly burned.

The New York Police Department is still on the scene and his motive is unclear.

TL;DR seems to be that, in his view, crypto like Bitcoin is actually the foundation of the biggest Ponzi scheme in history all orchestrated by fascist governments and rich people and the secret elite, and eventually they plan to let this massive Ponzi scheme collapse and that will apparently trigger an apocalyptic level economic crash across the world, and then all the rich and powerful people will somehow still be rich and powerful, but all of us regular poor people will become worth literally nothing, less than dirt, and we'll all be turned into slaves by the elite in order to have any kind of ability to live at all.

The dodgy $175m bond -

AG James has filed her opposition to KSIC's defense of its bond.

Three main grounds of opposition:
1) insufficient evidence of "sufficiently secure and ascertainable collateral backing the bond"
2) insufficient KSIC surplus to justify the bond (because they offload their liabilities to the Cayman Islands to make their US balance sheet look good)
3) KSIC is shady AF "in violation of federal law on multiple occasions within the past several years"

Monday is going to be a busy day. Criminal trial starts at 9:30, this bond hearing starts 10:00. It'll be a battle.
