They’re even trying to say that shooting Asian women in massage parlours wasn’t related to race because he was actually targeting them as sex workers due to a "sex addiction".

A racially motivated hate crime is a tougher sentence than if you kill someone because they're a sex worker. I'm not suprised the murderer is using that defence but the police shouldn't be circulating it unquestioned.
