By all accounts Krebs did an amazing job of making sure Trump can't put a crony in his place. Krebs made sure to put someone in a position below the person who would take over if Krebs got fired that Trump cant fire.

Krebs
Deputy
Mr Untouchable

Just had a planning meeting with a colleague in Europe about a collaborative article on the use of new social media in political communication. This has been, genuinely, one of the most productive weeks of my entire career.

Donald Trump Jr. has tested positive for Covid 19, diagnosed on Monday according to Bloomberg and CNN. He’s apparently feeling fine at the moment though.

On Andrew Neils Spectator videos on YouTube, every single comment without fail thinks the election hĺas been stolen. Its absolutely terrifying. How does it not end in civil war?

I’m guessing most of those Spectator comments are from Brits, which if anything makes it even more frightening.

But it won’t ultimately end in civil war. Edward Norton of all people has called it well - it is most likely that the Trump administration is going to use the chaos they’re creating to leverage the acceptance of the result and a smooth transition of power in return for the rehabilitation and indemnification of key staff like the Trump family, McEanany, Giuliani, etc, against prosecution.

What are the Dems doing during all this? They are patiently waiting for Trump to concede. Biden is even asking for donations to help fund the transition themselves. What! The country has voted him in and now they're asking for money to allow that? At a time when the country is on its knees thanks to pandemic.

Why aren't they being more aggressive? Does not bode well for tbe Presidency.

Asking for money from the public during a crisis because the incumbent administration is wrecking democratic norms, and then saying you're not going to prosecute that administration for breaking those norms and other crimes is grotesque.

Biden is talking about coming together and even picking people from the other side to work with.

Utter madness considering what Republicans are doing at the moment.

Democrats should be playing as dirty as possible.

I think that gives Trump way too much credit.

It's literally just a temper tantrum from a manchild that is so egotistical that he's unable to even comprehend losing.

People around him have gone so far into buying his gooseberry fool that they are unable to see (or at least admit) reality. Or they are enjoying being paid and are happy to go along with it for as long as the cash rolls in.

Right now, my perception is that the Democrats are going all out in taking the moral high ground to win the two run-offs in Georgia, and therefore have control of the Senate (once Harris breaks the ties in their favour). One of the incumbent Republicans is one of Trump's closest allies, so the worse The Orange One looks in this period, the worse she looks by association.

Agreed. This is simply just a narcissist striking out because his ego has been bruised.

I’m not sure that he’s the one in charge of all of this anymore, if I’m honest.
