BTW there's a slight possibiilty he's already got a bond. In the 2nd Carroll case he appealed despite already signing a bond the day before.

He has a meltdown today on Truth Social over having to put up the money to appeal so I don't think he has yet.

Clock is ticking.

Majorie Taylor Green has just filed a motion to kick out the republican speaker.

It's happening again.

Democrats taking the house before the next election thanks to resignations really isn't that remote a possibility right now

What time is the actual deadline? Is it midnight Monday, NY time?

Might have missed it but don't think the article actually makes it clear.

Don't know, but I would guess at midday in NY.

Apparently "Don Poorleone" was trending on Twitter yesterday.

I've always known Trump is a lame piece of gooseberry fool, but I didn't realise he is so lame that he doesn't even know how to use a hyphen to create a compound adjective   :fp: what a strawberry floating loser!

Was any explanation given for this? The judge certainly left it till the last moment to extend the deadline and reduce the amount drastically.

The IPO of 'Truth Social' is apparently happening soon. Trump has a 60% stake in it and somehow it's valued around 3 billion.

I assumed it was about as active as Threads.

No reason has been given. It seems like it's a decision made by a board of 5 judges rather than one.

3 billion for Truth Social is hilarious

The Truth Social thing is because it's "memestock", similar to what happened to GameStop a few years ago.

It's mental.

Gamestop is a little different because there was some logic to it-that the market was undervaluing GameStop.

Truth Social has no such inherent value. Anyone buying stock off Trump is essentially going to be giving him free money because what they get in return will have zero value in the long run.
