I’m guessing most of those Spectator comments are from Brits, which if anything makes it even more frightening.

But it won’t ultimately end in civil war. Edward Norton of all people has called it well - it is most likely that the Trump administration is going to use the chaos they’re creating to leverage the acceptance of the result and a smooth transition of power in return for the rehabilitation and indemnification of key staff like the Trump family, McEanany, Giuliani, etc, against prosecution.

I think that gives Trump way too much credit.

It's literally just a temper tantrum from a manchild that is so egotistical that he's unable to even comprehend losing.

People around him have gone so far into buying his gooseberry fool that they are unable to see (or at least admit) reality. Or they are enjoying being paid and are happy to go along with it for as long as the cash rolls in.

Agreed. This is simply just a narcissist striking out because his ego has been bruised.

I’m not sure that he’s the one in charge of all of this anymore, if I’m honest.

Who do you suspect might be?

For Trump to say Obama was magnificent, he must have gone above and beyond

I know it goes back a lot further than 1963, but it's amazing just how long the right wing has called everyone left of Genghis Khan a communist.

And it's depressing just how effective it is.

I see Biden has put Kerry as a climate tsar or something. I think he will be great at the role, although I'd prefer him as the Secretary of State again as I think he did a pretty good job there. I guess Biden needs a different cabinet to Obama though, but it's still a good move to have Kerry close to the inner circle.

Janet Yellen will be the incoming Treasury Secretary. She knows her stuff, being head of the Federal Reserve (IIRC?) for several years under Obama and all. Not sure if a good pick or not.

I didn't think I'd see James Woods in something more unnerving than Videodrome but here we are!

It's a shame Giuliani has ended up the way he has, he was quite the maverick back in the days when The Mob ruled New York - great limited series on Netflix about it, although isn't remember the name of it.

I guess he lived long enough to be the villain.
