Here's a thread you should read

Interesting read. Is there any research that shows roughly how long it takes for legal changes to lead to cultural changes? Obviously if you had a mass ban on guns now in the US it would be fairly arbitrary as there as so many out there but within 30-40 years people wouldn't no any different.

How are kids meant to take work to/from school now?

They give all students iPads and load the work onto that, I guess.

(Yes, I know many school textbooks are falling apart in America because they're 20 years old and teachers are protesting up and down the country because there's no money left.)

Following an emergency meeting of Law Enforcement Chiefs and the Sheriff of Polk County, Florida, it has been decided that there will now be a uniformed law enforcement officer in every public school in the county for the duration of this school year. Beginning from Monday, May 21st, no backpacks or bags larger than a small purse will be allowed by students for the remainder of the school year. Lunchboxes however will still be permitted on school premises.

So the perfect size for a handgun then  :fp:

This new role is based on the Idea a student will happily carry out a mass shooting but not break the rules on what bags are allowed at school.

Some states already have home schooling systems where you can do school work from home over the internet instead of attending lessons. So it'll be easy for them to make the change and cheaper too.
