I have tried watching the Orville :| is about as good as it gets. Not even Adrianne Palicki can save it.

The Ghosted pilot was 20 mins of exposition which doesn't bode well for a comedy.

And it's real ghosts, basically a 20 min comedy xfiles clone seems to be the setup.

From inciting treason to telling poop jokes, Sarah Silverman has created her fair share of online chatter. With I Love You, America, she’s looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously. While it’s great to connect with like-minded people, Silverman feels it’s crucial, now more than ever, to connect with the un-like-minded.

Sad to see Episodes go but I enjoyed the finale. Felt the last season was probably the weakest aside from maybe the first.

Is that a sequel/reboot of Dynasty Dallas-style after that did so well a few years ago? :dread:

Eh, TNT did the Dallas reboot that sucked. CW had pretty good success in the past with their 90210 reboot so it isn't that surprising.

Also I'm totally gonna watch it :shifty:

Yeah Mr Mercedes was a good adaptation. I thought the second book was the worst of the trilogy though so I'm hoping they can smooth out the rough edges.

You've just reminded me of a kid who was in my year at school, he set up his own Dallas and Dynasty fan club which apparently some of the shows 'stars' found out about and made it an official thing.

It ended up with him being interviewed by ITV regional news, he had a bloody shrine dedicated to Joan Collins in his bedroom which he proudly showed the film crew - needless to say everyone at school found out and mayhem ensued.

Are the books worth a read?

Loving the show and Gleeson is outstanding.

I liked them but they're not vintage King by any means. I think the show was better than the book.

I assume all 3 are about the same two characters and if so is there a big time gap between book 1 and two and was the shows ending faithful to the books?

I don't remember there being a massive timeskip between books 1 and 2 but book 2 is odd. Hodges doesn't even appear in the second book until like half way through. I got the feeling reading it that it wasn't originally intended to be a Mr Mercedes sequel.

The first book's ending was basically the same to the TV show:

Book spoilers

In the book Brady attempts to suicide bomb a concert for the book's equivalent to One Direction. It's so reminiscent of the Manchester Ariana Grande concert bombing that I'm not surprised they changed it for the show. Lou is obviously not there so she doesn't get stabbed by Brady. Holly finds Brady and gives him brain damage by coshing him with Hodges' personal cosh while Hodges has a heart attack.

I can't remember if the end of the book has a scene with Hodges and Brady in the hospita but the book has an epilogue which the show didn't.

The final scene in the book is Brady waking up and asking for his mother.

I'm 3 episodes in, very good so far.

I think I'm done with Narcos. Tried to watch S3 several times but I just can't get interested in it.

Narcos S3 is definitely not as good as it was previously but I'm still enjoying it.
