South Park special was ok. Nothing particularly biting or focused.

Anyone else watching Debris?

First two episodes haven't really done much for me but I'm willing to give it a chance to improve

Seems very much like the early episodes of Fringe atm, the basic premise is interesting enough but it just hasn't hit its stride yet.

Think this season of American Gods will be the last one I watch, if I even bother with the last two episodes.

Its just so strawberry floating boring, visually its incredible but the story progresses at a snails pace and goes off on utterly pointless tangents.

Recast Kate Kane in Batwoman.

Sounds like badly (permanently?) injured due to events. Going to be a presence going forward but not suiting up again.

I'll give that a try as Fringe was bloody amazing.

I was kind of expecting that would be the case.

Alice is still by far the best character in it though.

The former Batwoman "is alive but unrecognizable due to injuries she sustained in the crash." While being held hostage, she's also heavily "bandaged," suggesting she's been severely wounded.

If they were going to recast her anyway, why not have just play Kate from the off with no explanation? I thought the whole point of Kate being replaced as Batwoman is they didn't want a recast.

I guess they thought it'd be less jarring if they relegated Kate to a secondary character rather than keep her as Batwoman.

It'd have been far easier to have just outright killed her off though, without any of the current "where's Kate?" storyline being needed.

I don't know so much of the show was about Kate/Alice/Dad relationship. I'm not sure they could have chucked it immediatley/suddenly.

I did wonder if they'd just have Alice's actor (best actor in it) just take over and play both twins.

In other news Superman and Lois continues to be great

Anyone still watching Resident Alien?

I'm finding the last few episodes quite the decline - the switch back to humanity extermination obsessed alien feels like it's knocked the show back. And undone the "growth" of first few episodes (without any real trigger).

The fun of seeing humanity through an outsiders eyes has gone and while there's dark humour in no one knowing what they're helping occur, it just doesn't feel as good .(Although the cast was working their assess off)

Although this in the latest episode did kill me

Harry: It stopped being a secret when you told your little friend over there in the head covering!
Max: She must have followed me. Don't worry. She's not going to tell anyone. She swore to Allah.
Harry: Allah knows?! How many people have you told?!

Watched the first 2 episodes of Invincible and I’m liking it so far, more gory in spots that I expected (I’ve not read the comics so I’m going in fresh story wise)

I wasn’t expecting it at all going in

I also like how they have really blatant rip off versions of characters like the Hellboy style character.
