Still amazed this even exists. Can't say I'm particularly looking forward to it but I'm definitely curious how it turns out.

I started watching season 1 of Slasher again after like a year or whatever. On 1x03 and it seems to be heavily hinting police guy is the killer.

Slasher 1x07- Oh what a shock. I like the show though despite the obviousness of the killer.

Slasher 2x01- I haven't finished the episode yet but I'm going to say right now that the killer is Peter, the guy who sent a confession letter to the dead girl's parents and tried to get them to go to the police. Killing the supply guy seems harsh though.

I picked it up again because I saw a trailer for the new season 4 which looked good.

Cool. Let me know how you get on and your thoughts on S2 as you go.

2x02- Peter doesn't want them to escape the campground where a serial killer is chainsawing people. "Wait until morning!" :simper:

EDIT: Oh now he's trying to take the gun away from the only person smart enough to bring one.

These people are too stupid to live. It doesn't help that they're unsympathetic from the get-go having been introduced as torturing a girl to death. In I Know What You Did Last Summer, at least they ran over the fisherman accidentally.

First three episodes of Slasher season 2.

2x01- Peter and Andi flashback episode. Andi murdered.
2x02- Susan flashback episode. Susan murdered.
2x03- Antoine flashback episode. Antoine murdered.

I sense a pattern here and an obvious outlier.

What the hell is this? I honestly can't even remember the killer appearing before now. Has he always been sitting around in the background? :lol:

This is Happy Town level bad whodunnit.

Slasher 2x08- Ten minutes in and the apparent killer still hasn't spoken to anyone apart from Judith. Getting a "he was a ghost" all along vibe here and she's the killer with multiple personality disorder. The kid who was blamed for Talvinder's death is probably her son.

It's so bad.

Never ever reuse a plot from Dexter.

Yeah I'd say season 1 was notably better.

Went into this with high hopes given how much I enjoyed the first season. This is a good example how not to do this sort of show - there is virtually no signposting of who the killer is, or their motive, they're sprung upon the viewer literally at the very end. I had guessed who was behind it (only by process of elimination), but not why, nor would I have guessed the twist because it's never even so much as hinted at. No wonder I felt completely lost throughout. A good whodunnit should give the viewer enough to figure things out, this did not.

August 12th in America/Canada but I don't know if it's going to be on Netflix here. Apparently season 4 was bought by Shudder. Whatever that is.
