Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing. The adults aren't the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle's rebellious daughter, Sarah. I don't like the CW DC superhero shows as what i've seen has been very low budget and awful scripts, acting and everything. I watched the first episode of Superman & Lois and it was a surprise because it was good! Sombre and and family orientated. It may well turn into the standard weekly fare but for a first episode you can't ask for a better start.

That's kind of the appeal.

Compared to the 60's Batman series though, they're works of art.

The main thing that has put me off them at times is the blatantly fake science (mainly in the Flash and Legends), an example being a laser beam getting frozen then shattered like it was a solid object

I know, I mean I can suspend my disbelief at most of the utterly ludicrous gooseberry fool going on in most superhero shows/films but that was just beyond what I can deal with , I even shouted JUST strawberry float OFF at the TV.

Criticising the science in a show where a man can run so fast he generates a sentient form of energy he talks to seems pointless. Freezing a laserbeam looks cool at least.

True, I guess there was a lot of dodgy science in that episode, that just took me beyond my tolerance limit.

Monkey Man's New Show of the week

Debris 1st March (New). From the creator of Fringe. "When mysterious wreckage starts falling from the sky, a secretive international agency is tasked with figuring out what it is, where it came from, and most importantly... what it can do. British agent Finola Jones and American agent Bryan Beneventi are partners who have very different styles - she's warm, intuitive and detail-oriented, and he's charming, confident and guarded. But they have no choice but to trust each other as they track down the debris scattered across the Western Hemisphere. Each fragment has unpredictable, powerful and sometimes dangerous effects on the everyday people who find it. Every discovery is also a race against time, because shadowy outside forces seek these objects for nefarious purposes."
