Not sure where else to post this

https://www.theverge.com/2019/7/20/2070 ... c-con-2019

...a “Neo-Victorian fantasy” in which a number of mythical creatures have fled their homeland and tried to integrate into our world. In the trailers, we meet Vignette Stonemoss (played by Cara Delvigne) and Rycroft “Philo” Philostrate (played by Orlando Bloom), and learn that the Vignette’s fantastical homeworld was peaceful until humanity arrived and brought war and violence with them. She and Philo met and fell in love, something that seems to be a bit of a taboo pairing in this world.

Viginette and the other centaurs, faeries, fawns, and trolls from her world escape into a city called The Burg, where they set up an enclave. There, they have a difficult time — racism and bigotry are rampant, with fae like her threatened, beaten, and murdered on the streets. Philo is tasked with investigating a string of murders in the city, which could undermine the unsteady peace between humans and creatures.

This was originally a movie and I read the spec script about 10 strawberry floating years back and it was... Incredible. Probably one of the best unproduced scripts I've ever read. It's been a long time coming then, but I'm super looking forward to this (despite the less than ideal casting).

If anyone wants the script hit me up, I've still got it somewhere.

No idea what this means about international broadcasts. In the UK it aired on the Fox channel previously.

From what little they show of the Expanse, that looks like it has a much bigger budget.
Man this and Picard both looking good for the end of the year I am going to be in SciFi heaven (well provided they are good)

I can't see The Expanse being anything but great as it has all the same people involved just with a load more money.
The show doesn't need any changes and the fact that it was saved in no small part due to a huge effort by the fans means I think the negative reaction should Amazon make any changes would be huge.

I have sky high hopes for season 4.

I've got it all downloaded but haven't watched any yet. I saw a couple episodes of Slasher on Netflix though which was alright. It's an anthology show where each season is a new serial killer.

Just finished Season 3 of The Expanse and it really is fantastic. I'd go so far to say it's actually better than the books, exorcising as it does a lot of the chaff (the replacement of Bull by Drummer for example in S3).

The Boys, Season One, Friday 26th July. All episodes that day on Amazon UK. Renewed for Season 2.

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and their formidable Vought backing.

Scream s3 got bad reviews. And it shows by the broadcaster dumping all episodes onto TV at once.

I don't think I'll bother as they left S2 on a cliffhanger and they aren't going to resolve it? Bollocks to that.
