Lizzie Caplan nailed Annie Wilkes and I would love to see a new version of Misery with her in the role. Kathy Bates is still the gold standard, but Caplan got to flesh out the character a bit more and she was really good.

Nah your not the only one, me and the missus have been with it since the start of Season 1. Season 2 has indeed been great and agree with Caplan being spot on as Annie.

Nice to know we're not alone.

I loved when they finally revealed Paul Sheldon and the Misery novels existed and then to end on the "I'm his biggest fan" line. Perfect way to wrap her up.

I'm curious to see where they go with it next. I know there were a lot of hints to some kind of Shining tie-in during Season 1, but I'm not sure I want them to.

There's definitely a lot of lower stake King novels they can draw from. I wouldn't be too surprised if they went for a younger cast and did something around Carrie as I can see how that might be something they can play around with and take in an interesting direction.

We watched a couple of episodes yesterday, Elizabeth was the last person voted out. I have enjoyed parts of the season. Even though I love Rob and Sandra I don't like the twist of the 'lessons'.

My winner pick is Tommy, wife's is Elaine (both made after the premiere as standard).

satriales wrote:Also, have you watched AUS yet?

Nope, but I've got it ready to go whenever I have time. The wife isn't interested in another Champions and Challengers season after the last one so I need to time by myself to watch it.

There was a lot of potential this year with some great contestants but it just hasn't worked IMO. The Rob & Sandra lessons don't add anything (other than a target to that player's back) and a few other 'incidents' have ruined the season.

AUS CvC2 was amazing!!
Well worth watching, some of the best survivor I've seen. Some hugely entertaining players too It's in a whole different league to US S39.

Spoiler about format of next season of AUS:
It's All-Stars and starts in Feb. There are a few players from each of the four seasons so I think CvC2 is required watch before All-Stars

Just finished S4 of The Expanse, that was superb all the way through.

S5 is going to be rather interesting if they stick to the source material.

I loved season 4 of the Expanse. Burn Gorman as Murtry was a good counter to Amos and Holden, and it's always good seeing Miller.

Roll on season 5.

Season 4 was very much a set-up for season 5 with some great story progression.
I've not read the books so I have no idea what's coming but the ending should make for a great start to the next series.
