Between the delays and Supergirl’s downward ratings trajectory, I hear the producers, the studio, the network and Benoist came to a decision that it was better to end the show with a longer final season.

The creative team has started developing the storylines for the final 20 episodes. The order is expected to be longer than most broadcast series this coming season, including the CW scripted shows, which will be launching in January and beyond.

Wouldn't be surpried if Benoist's pregnancy had a factor.

I love it. I need to get started on S2 as I finished the first last week and the final episode was excellent. I love how strawberry floating weird and off beat it is. Also most episodes have me laughing out loud at how ridiculous it is, like the episode where the kid with the lip gets bullied out of the class only to come back with a mohawk

Just watched that episode last night!

I really like the premise of turning the antagonist karate class into the protagonist. The Karate Kid movie was so clear cut at painting the NO MERCY style of kobra Kai as the "wrong" way to do karate so it's interesting to explore that a little more. I still feel like the main dude is in the "wrong" with his teaching style and karate philosophy, but it's cool to have him painted sympathetically and not just as the cartoon villain.
