So then. Director Uwe Boll is still some way away from a Criterion Collection boxset of his work, but maybe in time, the film world will finally see in his films what the director himself does. He seems quite a fan.

For now, though, Boll has not taken the failed Kickstarter campaign for his latest project, Rampage 3: No Mercy particularly well. It's not the first time he's used crowdfunding to try and get the movie made, but with the film some way away from its target, Boll has a new message to people: "strawberry float yourself".

In a pair of videos he's posted, Boll has torn movie fans, movie stars, The Hollywood Reporter and such like. He argues that movie stars "are laughing about you", describing their films as "brainwashing". Arguing one of his recent movies is "ten times better" than a George Clooney documentary on a similar subject (genocide), Boll's 'impassioned' pair of rants - which contain lots and lots of F-bombs - can be seen here.

Oh, he saves a bit of his ire for Kickstarter too, saying that he's through about crowdfunding.

Like really? What was he expecting?

I'm sure that Uwe Boll's take on the Darfur crisis displays the same exemplary level of writing and direction as his other seminal works. How it could have been ignored by the Hollywood machine is just criminal. RIP in peace.

I'd recommend Alone in the Dark for a Uwe Boll newbie.

My understanding that his films were funding in the first place to take advantage of a tax loop hole in German law. He doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

His films is shite. Shocking stuff apart, it is truly shite.

And I've only seen one of his films on purpose. Never again.

Those 2 videos are probably the best thing he's ever done. Laughing my ass off. He sounds like a man who you do not wanna strawberry float with.
