Started this today. Playing on switch lite.

Looks nice, controls well and is a bit tricky. Not unfair tricky but more concentrate or you'll get killed.

Done a few mini bosses and found a new sword. Managed to upgrade the old sword once too.

Not sure how hard it gets but so far it's good fun and very stylish.

Confirmed: Godzilla is wearing leather trousers, a Led Zeppelin t-shirt and is rocking hard! :-) .

Looks like a metal/futurist version of Slain.

edit: Ha! It's by the same people.

Beated a couple more bosses and got some new weapons. The game has a brilliant flow and the boss design is very well done.

I enjoyed Slain, but it's bastard difficult

This is on my watch list, as soon as it gets a decent discount I'll be grabbing it.

- Valfaris
- Blasphemy
- Blazing Chrome
- Another one I can't remember

Seems like the Switch is the home of the side-scrolling Metroidvania/Contra!

Thanks for the updates. Was very keen but mixed reviews on the controls threw me a little.

Controls are tight, not sure why people would not like them.

Anyone else pick this up? I'm just doing my playthrough now. Tips on the best guns to use my upgrade tokens on would be welcome.

Sequel on the way, but they've switched to a run-and-gun. I enjoyed the original quite a bit.

Well that looks much worse than the original. The graphics look pretty dated and it's now a shoot-em-up? Pass.

The Steam version of this can currently be had for £1 on Fanatical. Might go for it.

Blasphemous is fantastic, great art style but it’s bloody tough in places.
