Again this isn't a sensible option I'm just wondering if it could be done.

I will hazard a guess that they would need a thunderbolt port or USB4 on the dock, if they have that then possibly.

I was a little disappointed no one played Halo in the reviews as it was installed.

Yes. I have thought this and want to see it. Not sure why it’s not being shown. MS involvement?

According to LTT all the games they had permission from the devs to play were pre-installed. Halo MCC was in the list on one of the images in Toms hardware guide impressions. They didn't allow people to use their personal accounts. Factorio and Death Stranding were there as well. I would genuinely though MS would be on board showing it off as it could garner more sales.

Mostly this interests me because Cemu (The Wii U emulator) allows you to have two windows open, one for the TV screen and the other for the Wii U controller screen. So assuming it has the grunt to run Cemu well (And from what I've been reading, emulator devs are confident it will) this could be the perfect Wii U emulation device.

I got the same estimated date and I ordered on the same day. I'm ridiculously excited for this. Gonna be so cool to see what can be done with it.

Been playing around with Cemu today and it’s mighty impressive. If you can install it on the steam deck, that, with epic game store would be incredible.

Oh yeah it's gonna be amazing. More excited for this than I was for my PS5 and Series X

Related to the above, here's some speculation on emulation performance on Steam Deck.

I’ll have a watch later. I have an OLED switch on order and a steam deck. Amazon had PS5s yesterday, but with my PC I have plenty to play and plenty to look forward to.

I think a handheld would be great for occasional bursts in the garden / sofa. So I’m pretty sure the steam deck preorder is staying. Not sure about the switch.

So, if I turn my PC on and run a game, I can stream it from that, onto a steam deck?

MS Flight sim on the toilet while working from home. Yep.

What’s going to happen if you get joystick drift? At least joycons are easily replaceable (if pricey).

Sign up for the epic game store. They give a free game every Thursday and steam have said that the Epic Game store ‘will be supported’ but it’s not clear how yet. If there is a way to incorporate it into the Steam OS, you could have a huge set of smaller games by Christmas.

I don't have a PC or anything to download the games at the moment so if I signed up can I just add the free games to my account?

Just sign up and add them each week through their store on a browser. And yep your just adding them to your account each week in prep for when you have a Steam Deck and can download. They’ve gave some crackers away so we’ll worth building up, it’s free after all.

Void bastards and Yooka Laylee will be this weeks freebies come 5pm on Thursday.

Amazing, I didn’t realise this could be done, I’ll start adding them now then! Cheers!

Do it. Yeah, can be done from the phone. They have ‘mystery’ specials every so often which are really good.

Hopefully will work easily on the ‘deck.

The best thing is, you rack up some amazing games that you forget about. I went to my library the other day and there was about 5 games sitting there that i'd been holding out on buying for a sale, but I already own them
