Yep, it's pretty prominent, and is only going to be made to look worse by any game that doesn't support the 16:10 aspect ratio.

I wonder if the kits out with developers now are the final retail ones. They've had some slight changes from the first models valve showed off already, like textured thumbsticks and slight button moves, but I've not seen anyone anywhere confirm if the design we're seeing now is final production or not.

So portable Horizon looks like a thing.

Neat. Do God Of War next, please.

Looking forward to having a portable PS4 eventually.

gooseberry fool, might change my preorder to the lower storage size model, because this is the only game I'm going to need on it.

Came here to say this.

This was the email I got.

The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months. We're sorry about this—we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates. Based on our updated build estimates, Steam Deck will start shipping February 2022. This will be the new start date of the reservation queue—you will keep your place in line but dates will shift back accordingly. Reservation date estimates will be updated shortly after this announcement. Again, we're sorry we won’t be able to make our original ship date. We'll continue working to improve reservation dates based on the new timeline, and will keep you updated as we go. To view your updated expected order availability and FAQ, please visit the Steam Deck store page.

Works for me. Gives me more time to bank some cash for it.

I'm a little disappointed as it'll be probably Q3 by the time I get mine now. Still, at least I'll be loaded by then.

While its not great news at least they are upfront with the delay and I am sure some people will cancel moving me back to Q2.

Now Microsoft have confirmed they are ending BC support for Series X/S, how is OG Xbox emulation these days? Would it be something that Steam Deck would be a viable option to run?

Possible. OG Xbox emulation has come a long way in the last couple of years after 15 years or so of slow, practically non-existant progress. I would expect Steamdeck to have no issues with it from a simple power perspective.

That’s a relief, got a ton of OG Xbox games I would like to play on a modern system. Looking forward to the first consoles getting out and people try this stuff out.

I'm fine with the delay and am still looking forward to my 512Gb version order.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see just how easy/annoying it's going to be to get non-steam stuff running on it.

From an XB Emu point of view, you might want to look at Xemu and CXBX-Reloaded which are the two decent ones.

I’ll check them out, like you say I’m hoping it’s a relatively easy process

Same. Installed Moonlight on my Switch to get a taste of streaming my PC games and it’s got me itching for Steam Deck more so because I won’t need to stream.
