We won't be seeing this next surely? If that video indicated that we will be in Gotham this time round, that is a monumental taks at hand. 2011 confirmed I'd say

Where did you get that from? The poster on the wall?

Edit, the poster is of uncle sam like the one on the new teaser website.

The ending of the first game heavily hinted he'd be in a sequel.

But from this trailer it looks like it's going to be set in a future, where Batman is old and so are his enemies - you can see from the Joker, the fact that the streets are full of thugs and the Batman symbol is crumbling at the end. What does that mean? Batman Beyond? "I'm too old for this gooseberry fool" Batman?

Nah, Harley doesn't look older.

Joker doesn't look old either, he's still feeling the effects from what happens at the end of the first game.

strawberry floating YES

I'd imagine it's something to do with the scene at the very end of AA;
Bane grabbing that case of Titan from the lake around Arkham Island
It's probably spread througout Gotham, explaining the run down look of everything

I wonder if the ending you got in AA effects what Villian will be in AA2 Scarecrow, Bane, Killer Croc?

The endings weren't tied to anything you did in game, so it's unlikely the sequel will be affected by the ending you saw in AA1.

Less Killer Croc though please, but more Scarecrow would be amaze.

I'd quite like to Scarecrow using a mix of Titan and his crazy gas.

The teaser showed what looked like an amusement park, encountering the new crazy gas there would be pretty amazing and terrifying if done properly.

To me it looked like they've quarantined off part of the city to be the new Arkham Asylum. It gives a reason to limit the amount of Gotham which you'll be exploring.

A bit too soon to announce this, isn't it? The game only came out a couple of months ago. I hope they take their time and release it in 2011, as I think 2010 would be far too soon.

That said, great to see a sequel and Rocksteady doing well. Now they just need to announce Urban Chaos 2!

Doesn't look like it's in the future or anything, the bat symbol crumbling may be because Batman has too much to tackle and the people of Gotham have lost faith in him?

They could try and do a "No Man's Land" arc to explain pushing the setting away from Arkum; Joker's titan being sold on the black market and being spread through the city and the Governemnt quarantee Gotham and shut it off from the rest of the country.

I don't want a open world sandbox game though, the loose linear style from the game was perfect

Surely it'd be Urban Chaos 3? [/pedantic mummy strawberry floater]

That didn't take long to announce  Glad it's coming though. No dirty Square Enix money though. Glad to see Warner Bros are publishing this themselves.

I'd like to see a more fleshed out detective mode in Gotham City. The core gameplay is there and now they concentrate on making the game bigger. They have time on their side. My most wanted game as of now(until Uncharted 3 is announced that is).

Oh hells yeah!

The first one was one of my favourite games of the year (even though I've only played through 3 or something) so well happy to see this announced already, great that rocksteady are doing it too.

Yeah, less Killer Croc though, or at least a fight with him that's a gooseberry fool load better than the last one.

I was talking to someone the other day who said they thought AA was boring... I know people have different opinions but how could anyone have found it boring. :?

To be fair to Rocksteady, the first game was 'finished' earlier this year wasn't it? Like, March time? Ergo they've had more than long enough to draft ideas for this and get the work in motion. I wouldn't be surprised at a late 2010 release or early 2011.

I liked the Killer Croc fight, I don't get all the hate. It was at least different from most of the boss fights which were all very similar.

Great to hear about a sequel. There are so many more villians in the bat universe to play with, hope Penguin gets a starring role.

My problem with it was that it was built of for most of the game and then just felt a bit flat, what with smacking him in the face a few times and then running away. True that it was different from the other boss fights but I felt that they at least had a bit more spectacle about them.
