I addressed this not that long ago but basically it popularised a lot of things that are bad about FPS games.

iirc the first halo game introduced a huge amount of things that i and many other people dislike about modern fps's

Can’t say I’m thrilled about losing Star Trek, which was one of the better trek titles.

I think this just illustrates the difficulties involved with dynamic thread titling.

Perhaps something direct instead. E.g.

"Total Shatner!"

Too many people here have a hard on for the Halo series.

Things I dislike about the series:

Slow movement - like trying to run through quicksand, just so slow
Boring story - subjective
Rechargeable health - get hit? Run away and wait for your health to recharge, awful
Level structure - awful, shorter levels with defined objectives (see Goldeneye) is better
It's been a long time since I played any of them but I seem to remember them having checkpoints too... Just terrible, wouldn't have been included if the levels weren't unnecessarily long and bloated

That sounds like a vote for Theme Hospital.

I'm not a huge Skyrim fan but I'm quite surprised at how many votes it's getting this early. There's far worse things in the list.

Most of those things are plusses in my book. For example, dual wielding started on N64 with Goldeneye, I believe? In any case, dual needlers in Halo 2 was a sight to behold as they first overwhelmed elite shields then exploded elites.

Also, MC’s weighting and floaty jumps took some getting used to, I’ll give you that, but I don’t think it’s fair to say that all other FPS’s have followed suit.
