I assumed 2 guns was you can only carry two guns, look at the Big FPSes before it Doom, Duke 3D, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Quake. You could carry all the guns.

At one point i thought it might be a tie...

Most of those things are plusses in my book. For example, dual wielding started on N64 with Goldeneye, I believe? In any case, dual needlers in Halo 2 was a sight to behold as they first overwhelmed elite shields then exploded elites.

I don't think any of us are gonna try and say that dual wielding isn't the sickest gooseberry fool (seriously why isnt it in more games)

Funnily enough I was playing Halo 1 today at a friend's house, and yeah while I have issues with the game I can't deny it's fun as hell. That being said I still prefer DOOM and stuff like that where you can dash around and carry a strawberry float ton of guns at any given time; the slow movement and recharging health of Halo encourages a less aggressive play style than those older FPS', and that never really clicked with me.
