Do not let your cat chew on tinsel. One of mine ate a bunch of it years ago and needed surgery to get removed as it was scratching their intestine and causing them to crap blood. She made a full recovery, fortunately. These days I just use fabric ribbons on the tree as it's not the same risk of them ingesting tinsel foil.

We only let her play with it briefly when doing the video, the rest of the time it is kept well away as she chews everything.

Recently she ate a whole bunch of tinfoil after we accidentally left it out, thankfully she threw it up and it did no lasting harm.

That's some serious climbing skill.
