The big price reduction could lead to me buying a Quest 3, my Quest 2 is barely holding on but I've been holding off on the 3 as it's way too expensive atm.

Do it! Am so impressed with my Quest3. I bought a comfort strap which I think does make a difference and you are looking at an extra £50 or so, but Can't fault it really. Such a step up from my Valve Index in every area.

Installed some PSVR games in preparation of getting the headset out of the loft at some point this weekend. Installed the playroom VR, VR worlds, moss and res infinite - both of which ive not played but strangely didn't ever buy. I've had it with a fair few items in my library that I got through ps+ yonks ago, that seem to have given me the licence as if I own them, years after my subscription lapsed :datass:

It's one of my fave VR games; I can enjoy just sitting and admiring the perfectly formed mini landscape dioramas. It helps that the puzzling gameplay is excellent, too. I'm glad that you've discovered it, Victor!

I really enjoyed both games but never finished either. The curse of VR I suppose.

I do find that I have "phases" of VR play; I tend to put the format aside for a while but whenever I set it up it then wows me. I'm not sure how far into Moss I got last time around but it was a while ago and so I plan on enjoying it from the start again.

Yeah, that's the problem for me. The appeal lasts for about 5 days / 5 hours and then it goes back in the cupboard. So any game approaching a decent length never gets played to completion.

Resi 4 on Quest 2 was the exception - that was bloody amazing.

I finished moss last night. Very nice game, if a bit frustrating in the later parts. Solid 6/10 game and I'd play the sequel.

I tried to use my glasses for the first time ever with VR, and it made such a difference. Was like a resolution bump, so I'll have to try that out when j get my pc vr going again and see how it changes that.

There's still very much an inconvenience barrier to VR like this that stops it being pick up and play for me. Several times before work I've had 40 or so minutes to play something, but having to setup the headset just makes it enough of a faff that I won't bother for a small session like that.

Definitly try and set it up so that it's all ready to go if you can. I have similiar with my steering wheel setup. Even though it takes prob a minute to plug in and setup from scratch, that's still enough for my lazy ass to think nah strawberry floating, I'll play Balatro instead...

Also look into prescription lense inserts. They are a real game changer from a comfort perspective.

That's how I've ended up with my racing setup being the way it is. Got fed up of having to drag things around to play, so now I can just sit down and turn the pc on and it's ready to go.

The psvr box is still connected, but I have to put the camera on a little table and move that half way in to the room as it doesn't read correctly from by the tv where the PlayStation is.

I've currently got my PSVR setup at my desk so it's now easy to use. Sitting down gaming only, but it's just a case of turning it on and go so I'm hoping that I'll be using it a lot more.

And that's an interesting point about glasses... I wear them but take them off for PSVR. I will now have a go at leaving 'em on!
