Looks like the soundtrack was curated by a poncey NME freelancer.

Everyone seems to know the score (7/10)
They've seen it all before,
they just know,
they're so sure

That Ubi's gonna throw it away,
gonna blow it away
but I know they can play
'Cause I remember

Sam Fisher on alert
Ezio still sleazing
Maps of icons of hurt
A change would be quite pleasing

Reviews

Gamespot - 8

Watch Dogs: Legion is an anti-fascist game, and it's admirable that it sticks to that message and sees it through to a satisfying and affirming conclusion. It also bolsters the franchise's clever hacking gameplay to offer more creativity than ever. One of Legion's more profound messages is about what it means to be a true Londoner, and by the game's end, you'll have a DedSec crew made of wildly diverse and disparate citizens from unique cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds--all united in their goal to restore their home. If anything, that's as powerful a message for the game as you can get.

Apparently there is a "game-breaking bug" in the Xbox One X version according to Eurogamer and they're delaying publication of their review because of it.

Boomerang have sent this out to me for Xbox but I'm waiting until I get the series X so hopefully, they'll have patched it by then.

Watch Dogs: Legion, the third in Ubisoft's urban open world series, has a game-breaking bug at launch on Xbox One X that makes progress in its campaign impossible. Ubisoft is working to remedy the matter in a hotfix due at the end of this week.

The issue occurs around 6-8 hours into the main campaign (during a mission called - I kid you not - 404) upon which players are told their console is to shut down, as it's designed to, because of overheating - which it duly does. It's an issue we've anecdotally heard has happened to multiple reviewers of the game on Xbox One X - Ubisoft's recommended platform for reviewers.

Other platforms appear unaffected by the specific issue, though members of the Eurogamer team have reported more minor bugs with the PS4 Pro build.

Ubisoft is currently working to rectify the matter. "We're aware of this issue and there will be a hot fix due to be released on 30th October which should help," the company said in an official statement.

In Short: A disappointingly tame vision of a near future dystopia, that represents a perfectly competent use of the Ubisoft formula but falters in its attempts to add anything new to it.

Pros: The gameplay mechanics are all above average for a modern day open world game and the plot toys with some interesting issues. Play as anyone feature is clever, if flawed. Stormzy is great.

Cons: Extremely derivative and repetitive from the first moment, in terms of action, stealth, and puzzles. Toothless script, with a lack of compelling characters.

Score: 6/10

Metro weren't fans.

Waypoint review (with some excellent proc-gen stories) is mixed:

Unfortunately, games like Legion make me increasingly convinced that the AAA space simply cannot allow for that. Legion was built according to the ever-ballooning scale of AAA games, and it suffers for it. The people who made it could never get the resources they needed to be pursue this ambitious experiment without also making it a blockbuster, 30+ hour long game. It could never wear its politics on its very fashionable sleeves, without also being tailored for style over substance. The frustrating truth is that given the context of its development and the case of its goals, Watch Dogs: Legion might be the very best it could be. But as even DedSec would tell us, revolutions don’t happen from the inside out.

It didn't actually brick her console permanently.

RPS, also mixed (describes it as an Eastenders themed Westworld unable to successfully combine real-world politics to a game with murderous grannies and fist-fighting accountants)

I would have enjoyed Watch Dogs Legion so much more, if it had just leaned into full Guy Ritchie nonsense with its tone. I really do appreciate what it’s trying to do with its story, but the end result is like Jason Statham beating you to death with a book of Nietzsche’s aphorisms. It’s still Jason strawberry floating Statham, and you’re still getting battered.

While I may not identify with any of my guerrillas and their grab-bag backstories, nor feel any sense of real investment in the fate of DedSec as a whole, I’m still attached to this strange band of possessed berserkers. We’ve had a good time together, in this nonsense dystopian playground. When construction goblin finally angers one boat too many, or when Diane discovers the limits to God’s tolerance of Three Lions and is rightly obliterated, I will miss them.
